I'm late to this thread.
But just want to say, poor ppl love gas stations.
They eat, shop and socialize all at your local RaceTrac. Meth heads and poor ppl love gas stations.

Lottery tickets and tobacco. When I identify one of these people in line behind me I pay with cash, wait for the clerk to ring me up and toss in 1 to 5 cents more of change over the dollar amount just to make them do some head math. It's small payback to the lotto abusers.

Because their homies in the car gave them $3.88 in nickels and pennies to get them a forty of Old E.

It seems like all of them know the clerk too. Talking about bullshite while they are trying to check people out.. slowing them up.

why do so many ppl carry no cash at all and will stand there waiting for their card to get accepted for a red bull and pack of cancer sticks?

I was once party to a very slow transaction at the Circle K at the north gates of campus. A very drunk man was sweet talking the cashier and other customer. To this day, I can’t really wrap my brain around what transpired, but it appears he purchased a pack of smokes in exchange for sexual favors. The lady customer left in his truck, the wife and I went on a bike ride through campus, and we 110% saw them parked in an empty lot together off Darypldbsicnwkdjej (frick that street).
My wife is also certain he was beating off as he pulled into the parking spot before that all happened in the store.
I mean, gross, but respect. She wasn’t ugly, considering the situation.
Edit: I know the rules. I break them. She’s an OT 12 and reformed chive chick.

Newsflash: in less than 50 years, you’ll be just as poor because you’ll be dead.

Only trashy people go into gas stations

If I’m standing in a line I can predict with 85% certainly who will hold up the line at a Circle K. I know part of it is that they need smokes and lottery tickets but that’s only the beginning.
For some reason they end up doing like 3 separate transactions. I waited almost 5 minutes for a guy to finish last night and all I got was a 44 oz Dr Pepper.
The trashiest part of this story is the underlined part.

And don’t forget the $5 worth of gas (prepaid). The first $4 worth pumps in 30 seconds then the last $1 worth takes 5 minutes to pump.

Lottery, Alchohol, and tobacco they pay for with cash and usually getting something for someone else also on a different transaction.
Then food and non-alchohol they pay for with EBT.
Then if there’s enough left over they get $5 on pump 2.
