The NFL explanation on that Bengals whistle is hysterical.

What was it?

There seems like no doubt by letter of the law the play should have been stopped and replayed. But no one can really complain because obviously the whistle never should have blown, so ultimately I think justice was correctly served since the whistle didn't affect anything on the play.

Pats down 27-3….seems familiar but can’t put my finger on it

Just as there is a difference between gonerhea and herpes there is a difference between Billsing and Falconing.

You can’t review a whistle designation

And the crew huddled up and determined it was blown after the catch

That crew had a really really bad day

They said the crew got together and determined the whistle was after the WR caught the ball.

Look, the right result was allowed, but leave it to the nfl to lie straight to our face.

That explanation is bullshite, anyone with ears could hear it was blown before Burrow threw. Should’ve replayed the down. Refs across all sports are dog shite these

In other words, we are just going to ignore that it ever happened and we fully expect everyone else to eventually forget that it ever happened. Well except Raiders fans but we don't give a frick about them anyway.

Yea, that's really bad.

Funny that the ultimate justice was correct, if you will, and the NFL still finds a way to look incompetent in arriving at that just decision

this isn't true. It was after the throw and right before the catch when I heard the whistle.

Problem is they’re lying and the whistle was blown during play and it impacted the play.

Apparently you need your ears checked because the ball was a split second from being caught by the receiver when the whistle is heard.

I can’t believe this is such a big deal. It would have been a bigger deal if an obvious ref screw up that didn’t change the play at all would have taken a TD off the board for the Bengals.

We will never know because look how the DB stops

If this call was bs Bengals how would y’all react? Think that way

The DB looks as if he’s going to attempt a play and then doesn’t as he hears whistle.

shel trying to pretend like he wouldn’t argue for the EXACT letter of the law being the end all be all if the teams were reversed
