Emery Jones not enrolling early

Isn't there something about Catholic not wanting kids to graduate early for early enrollees? I feel like I heard that somewhere on here?

It’s a rigorous college prep school, so it would take a lot to graduate early from there
I can’t think of a single alum that has done it.

Unless you are going to start as a freshman (like Stingley, Or Mason Smith) I really don't get the enrolling early. Enjoy your last couple of months of high school and have fun. I doubt Emery will start next year so I don't see a problem with this at all.

I don't think they have a way to facilitate it. Which isn't a bad thing, IMO.

Catholic schools have been known to tell kids they won't receive a diploma if they don't finish out the school year.
Edit: Just wanted to clarify. I'm not taking shots. They just don't make exceptions for students graduating early.

I know Rummel was like that when I was There.
Public schools you can get your degree early, a lot of private schools don’t.
I needed Like 1 semester PE credit going into my senior year.

I remember back in the 80s, if you had enough credits to graduate early, you had to do so with a state GED. This was at Holy Cross. They would not give you a diploma or let you walk with your classmates.

Yeah, Emery Jones was never going to be an early EE.
I think maybe the word was that he wanted to be an early EE, and that he was going to try to arrange for an early graduation (or something like that) - but that was never going to be doable.
Catholic High's been sending football players to college for many years, and they've never allowed the early graduation deal necessary for early enrollment in college.
This is a big nothing burger - EJ probably made that post in hopes people would stop asking him about it or something similar.

4 years of religion required

I feel that on a personal level

No student graduates from Catholic early. It’s a full four or five years.

Catholic doesn’t offer that as an option / tract. It is a college prep school.

Interesting that he was promoting that during his recruitment

Thankfully Father Ron was a cool cat

Most catholic college prep high schools require so many credits to graduate, they can’t graduate early. Why you see those who are hellbent on graduating early transferring to a public school to finish early.

Are you for real?

Well there are no priests at Catholic. Care to open up your mouth again and make yourself look even more imbecilic?

I don't think it's that Catholic schools don't want kids graduating early. It's more that it's harder to do so. I've never heard of Catholic school alumni that graduated early. Especially not one the college prep schools.
