That isn't really breaking news but I thought I would share my personal experience. Omicron ran through my immediate and extended family after we gathered several days during New Years. Everyone had had Covid before, all ages, mixture of vaccinated and unvaccinated and even a couple of people that had Delta just a few months ago. Everyone had some type of symptom(s). I have never seen a sickness burn through a group of people like that. It was also incredibly mild compared to the original. I ran fever one day, took Nyquil at bedtime and felt normal the next day. I can't imagine this thing dragging out much longer. It is going to burn out quickly.

I'm still going to need you to be vaccinated and present identification before you consume this snack, sir.

Yeah, I haven't got the jab. My wife has.

Hit us both about the same time the initial strain hit us at this same time last year.

My symptoms were a bit milder. Still dealt with chills, fever, congestion, fatigue but only lasted half as long as before. Wife's symptoms were about the same as her first bout pre-jab. Basically, it's similar to a bad sinus infection.

Agreed.

My entire warehouse got smacked by it. My brother's entire staff (like 50 people) got hit. My wife's whole family. All at the same time. I have never in my life seen something that goes so fast.

Fauci said today that omicron isn’t actually part of cov2, and has been around. Don’t know if anyone else caught that.

Same thing at my oldest sister's Christmas gathering, most were vaxxed and many were boosted....didn't matter, around 15 of the 20 or so people in attendance got Omicron.

We had family Thanksgiving

We had family Christmas x 2

We had a get together with friends before New Year's Eve

We had a wedding this past Saturday for our son

NOT ONE PERSON FROM ANY OF THAT HAS TOLD US THAT THEY GOT SICK. There's still time from the wedding for it to happen but the other events caused SQUAT.

The cold/flu(did test positive for rona) kicked my pure blood arse for the past 7 days.

worst part, is that it hit at the wrong time, it got me, as i was dehydrated, exhausted mentally and physically from work, and just finger banged any and everything it could.

I Couldn't piss for 3 days, and as i tried to drink water, gatorade, it just screamed out my arse. I still haven't really ate since that day. 2 cans of soup in the 7 days. I just took over the counter stuff and went straight to bed every day. I figured i'm just going to sleep rather than suffer from it.

I've got it now. Scratchy throat Friday night. Slight body aches and a dull headache Saturday. Sunday was a 101.3 fever and a sore throat. Just a sore throat yesterday. Today is a slight runny nose and coughing up some flem.

Outside of the different symptoms each day, this has been nothing for me. Just took dayquil, Tylenol and Gatorade. Laid on the couch and watched a bunch of TV. Hope to be back in the office Thursday.

Hearing that a lot here too. Guy I just spoke to has six people in his office. All got the sniffles and one got tested and came out positive for covid. They all got tested and came back positive. It was like a mild brief cold. One of the women is seriously obese.
