My wife tried cleaning the aquarium and killed all my expensive fish. I had a gold nugget plico worth about $500 and a few Severums all worth about $200 that she killled. All in all about 2k worth of fish. She did not turn off the heater and it poisoned them all. I’m just sick at this point because I raised these fish from small fry. I know it is gonna sound petty to many but I am so mad at the whole situation. They really become pets and I know she was just trying to help but it just infuriates me that if you don’t know what you are doing leave it the frick alone. Sorry, just had to vent a little.

This is a learning opportunity for everyone. Your wife should never touch your shite again, so that is a win. Despite the set back you now get to start from scratch which can be pretty damn fun.

That sucks man. At least she was trying to help and I’m sure she feels terrible about it.

Try a pet rock next time, just as responsive as fish and a bit harder to kill.

Would you rather the fish have killed her?

Are you looking at it like a financial loss or emotional loss? Your post is unclear.

That's why I've made it very clear to my fiancee that my tools are off limits, no matter the intentions I just don't have the time and funds to deal with a learning curve that goes wrong when I'm not there. It's also why I never loan tools more complicated than a masonry chisel to anyone, most people simply don't know what they are doing these days.

That sucks.

How dirty did you let it get that she felt the need to intervene and do it herself?

One thing I’ve learned in life, is if you want something done right, do it yourself and keep up with your own stuff.

My daddy always told me, when life hands you dead fish, have a fish fry.

Post nude pictures of her as revenge.
