Curious what the board things about double stack vs single stack for IWB carry. Obviously the 4 extra rounds in the 26 is the primary benefit. Is the extra width to accommodate that that intrusive compared to the 43?

From what I can tell the only difference between either is single vs double stack.

I love my 43x. It has a bit longer handle so you can grip the entire handle instead of tucking 2 fingers underneath.

Just get the 43X with the Sheild Arms mags that are 15+1. Hard to beat.

The correct Glock you want for this application is the Sig Sauer P365 or P365XL. Either one is 2mm thinner than the Glock 43 and the smaller of the two has a 10 round magazine. If you have bear paws like me, the bigger one gets you 12+1 and enough grip to grab onto.

choose the one more comfortable to carry for you. The chances of you needing any of the rounds, much less the four extra, are so small as to not matter

unless you often get into firefights. If that’s the case you should carry a rifle

IMO Glock is behind the times. There are much better options currently sitting on shelves than either of these weapons. If you're firm on Glock, go with the 43x, but I think there are better options than it too.

Also to note, my opinion is not entirely about capacity, but what you get in a total gun like sights, comfort, trigger, serrations, etc. Glock is not innovating right now and simply living off of the name.

I replaced a Glock 27 with the Glock 43, smaller, lighter, much easier to carry.

I have a double stack Canik for IWB. It’s great to shoot but a little bulky. I ended up taking a few rounds out of the magazine to make it lighter. So I end up carrying 7 rounds…a single stack would be better. I’m not very concerned about the extra capacity.

I would do the 43 if it’s only for concealed carry. That’s what I have.

For me, it's single stack. My first cc gun was a Springfield Armory XD in 40 S&W, a typical double stack gun. I didn't cc it very long before I moved to a single stack. If you know someone w/ double stack and single stack guns, borrow them long enough to put one of each inside your waistband for a few hours and see which is more comfortable. OTOH, if you're going to cc OWB, the single stack vs double stack question may not be such a concern.

43x

I have a 43 and I want the x. I use to carry the 27, but it’s pretty bulky.

Go shoot an SW PCenter Shield 2.0 and an HK VP9sk alongside the Glock and pick whichever of those you like best.

I like my HK better and I shoot it better but the shield is more comfortable to carry for me personally. So I have them both it just depends on what I’m doing.

I know it catches a lot of flack BUT I bought a glock 48 on a whim thinking if I didn’t like it i’d sell it….. I carry it IWB appendix and it gets more use than my Shield and 19.

I have a Glock 26 with Glock 19 mags and XGrip sleeves, so 15+1 in a package and the OAL in the grip in identical to using Glock 26 mags with Pearce grips for the pinky. Plenty comfortable to CC and the added benefit of more comfortable to shoot for the range. I have a Sig P238 if I want to carry very light.

It's funny the downvotes you are getting because it is the true.

For IWB it's a helluva lot more difference than you'd think just by looking at the numbers in inches.

365 (over 43), 365xl (over 43X), hellcat, FN 509, Walther PPS M2 to name a few.

I’m no brand snob, personally. Carry a Sig, nightstand weapon is a Walther, have a G43 that hasn’t been shot in years, and even have a Taurus g2c stowed away for a cloudy day (of course I wouldn’t recommend that over a Glock).
