We will never know. I'm not sure that even without Brady they couldn't have done that. They finished the year before strong with a 10-3 record and Fiesta Bowl victory. Returned all key personnel and added a strong recruiting class. Offense was already starting to click and then returning experience helped even more.

Joe, Chase, JJ, CEH and TM

It was 90% Burrow. The origins of what happened in 2019 could be seen in the UCF bowl game with no Brady.

Just look at the bowl game prior to the 2019 season. That was when the switch was flipped for Burrow and Brady was nowhere to be found. Yes Brady contributed, but Burrow was the driving force.

Both along with generational talent at the skill positions. I mean Chase, Jefferson, Marshall at receiver, Pettigrew and Moss at TE, CEH at RB
And and offensive line featuring 6 current NFL players (possibly more after this year's draft)

We had a combination of the right things at the right time:
Once in a generation QB,
who gelled with a pro passing expert,
who had an experienced OC who didn’t mind sharing the spotlight,
and a RB who showed new talent in the biggest game,
all working with a very good O line,
and a defense that clicked halfway through the season to prevent disasters.

Burrow. The guy has great instincts and a great understanding of defenses. He is calm, poised, confident, and has that sixth sense. He is tough as nails too.

3rd and 17
The runs vs Bama (CEH actually won the Bama game with some unreal plays)
The scramble and throw vs UGA
The scramble vs Clemson to set up the momentum changing TD in the 1st half
Burrow was on another level in 2019 and that was the result of a 5th year grad SR that was taking a couple online classes that could devote all of his time to football. We had 3 WRs that that became rookie starters in the NFL with 2 pro-bowlers. Clyde was the perfect fit for the offense. Moss was the best blocking TE in CFB and never dropped a pass all season.
Brady implemented the right offense, but we had a a straight up stud offense that were veterans in 2019. He gets credit for pushing the offense to be perfect. Kirby said there was nothing exotic to our offense, we just executed well with elite players.

I think expert is a bit of a reach. Sean Payton had him fetching coffee and running errands for 40K a year before O hired him.

Ensminger and Burrow were the driving force of the 2019 season along with Orgeron for putting it together

Chase and JJ added the cherry!

Substitute Max for JB. What do you think you'd get?

Both. Brady’s system played to burrows strengths and allowed him to become great.

Ensminger was always a really good playcaller. He needed Brady to update the playbook so he could call better plays so that Burrow could utilize his full skillset.

Brady showed LSU how to take advantage of Burrow/WR talents.
Brady definitely helped - no doubt. However, LSU could have won a natty with another guy other than Brady helping Ensminger out due to how great Burrow was. With a little experience with this team and system under his belt, he became a dominant force. Even in that bowl game at the end of the 2018 season, he was starting to look dominant. Brady helped LSU's offense max out Burrow and Co.'s talents.

When did we decide this?he was better than Cameron in 2016 which means he called passing plays. But honestly he also got to call plays against all the shitty defenses on the schedule and scored 10 points against Florida and Bama.
Without Brady we scored 17 points in 3 games vs Alabama with E calling the plays. Pretty much any time we played a top 10 defense our offense ground to a Halt.
We scored 22,19, 19 and 0 vs Auburn Florida Miss State and Alabama in 2018.
0 and 10 vs Bama and Florida in 2016
17, 7 and 11 bs Bama, Florida and Auburn in 2020.

Joe Brady wasn't dropping dimes on outside shoulders 40 yards downfield at will. The execution was so high you can't credit anyone except the young men throwing and catching the football. He helped but it was 80% Burrow, 20% everyone else combined.
