KFC - Fern Creek, Bardstown Road in Louisville.
“Out of chicken”
I said, “ you do one thing”
They said, “ I know, sorry”

Off on a bit of a tangent but this thread reminded me...when I was a kid we would take these long driving vacations, usually out west, and usually taking back roads with no particular plan, just stopping to look at whatever there was interesting to look at. Often there would be a little private roadside museum with a few artifacts displayed about whatever of note happened there. One day we were going to have a roadside picnic and we needed some ice. It was out in the middle of nowhere with nothing around. Finally we drove up on one of those little museums so my dad stopped and my mom hopped out and asked the guy if he had any ice. He got all offended, because after all, it was a museum. But he went in the back and brought out a bag of ice so I guess we weren't the first ones to ask him that.

Went to Saltgrass Steak House Pensacola on Saturday. Reservations at 6 pm. Concert to follow in town at 8 pm. Ordered and sat there for hour and 45 minutes. Told waiter we had to go. Manager comes over and says we could have in a box in next few minutes. No apology or comp the 4 drinks we had. Lots of others leaving. We apologized to the waiter as not his fault.

Can't you just not tell them what you are buying the liquor for? "Oh, this is just for a party"
They recognize a lot of people because they came in wearing their work uniform thinking they wouldn't care.

For the record, every supplier has shortages right now and brands can't just "go across the street" bc of brand standards that don't allow you (by contract)to get it from another place. Legally speaking.
Somebody gets it

But sorry Sysco was late with your Cajun fries.
I cannot just go out and get curly fries. Want to guess how big of an issue it is for people to not get their fries in curly form? Big enough to not even want to bother about it. Either I go to one of our other locations or not at all.

When i worked in the restaurant, we would send a bus boy across the street to home depot because we were out of felopian tubes.

I can only imagine the look on the Home Depot employee's face when some 16 year old is asking where her felopian tubes are.

Back in the mid-90s, Montgomery had a restaurant that claimed to be Cajun.
They ran out of rice.
Place is now a bare slab.

I stopped at sonic one time for ice cream and they were out of plastic spoons. It was directly in front of a Walmart which I can almost promise was stocked with plastic spoons.

Pizza place down the street was out of mushrooms last week. I didn't say anything but was thinking why not just go to the fricking store and get some mushrooms instead of telling customers you're out of mushrooms.

Was at the Waffle House in New Iberia and lost it when they told me they couldn’t get Tabasco.
Golf course once told me it was going to be 9 days before being able to restock and get beer. Was so passed off that within an hour I had 3/4 of the members call the club wanting to cancel membership.
The golf club got corrected. The Waffle House incident has a picture of me on the wall there with a circle around it with a line through it.
