He wouldn’t have made the play calling better, the o-line any better, or prevented the injuries, so no.

I do not disagree, but does he fire a coach that goes 9-3?

Yes.

We were 3-3 when it was announced O was finished. You realize we were literally 2 plays (Bama 4th down, Arkansas OT) from finishing 8-4? Toss in the Auburn game, sack Nix once, and there's your 9-3 record.

My take is, O was too embarrassing to the university, and the standard at LSU is that a couple unlucky losses should drop you to 9-3, not 6-6.

Kelly will be different, but I expect the program to be run professionally. The talent will come, just as it always has.

if Brennan doesn't get injured and we don't have all those other injuries, then we probably do go 9-3 or better. Without the distraction of trying to get a new HC we probably would have gotten NIL rolling and had $17 million available for NIL. We would end up with at least a top 3 class, right there with Bama, aTm, and Georgia. Jones had the defense playing like gangbusters by the end of the season. Big learning curve for Peetz as a first time OC (?).
Takes a little time to learn to be an OC in the SEC (even Burrough took a year at QB to learn how to QB in the SEC) but he would have gotton it down or O would have got some help for him.
Brennan would be going into his 2nd season as a SEC starter and we would be loaded with talent everywhere but on the O-line, which with the bankroll we would have, that could have easily been addressed. Would be competing right there with Bama for the SEC west and Georgia for the SEC championship. 2022 could have been another NC season.

But Brennan got hurt, the season went in the toilet, and now it's time to make a new start with BK.

I loved the way the defense was playing at the end of the year under Daronte Jones, much better than anything that Aranda had ever done with the defense.

Not sure if Brennan makes it thru healthy next year

Dumb… You can’t be sure ANYONE makes it through anything in the future healthy. You won’t be 100% sure until you know how it ends. That’s why you have 3 or more QBs on your roster.

Absolutely we still have Ed O as coach.

Fired because of a flip-flop!

But it will probably work out much better for the Tigers.

No. Orgeron had many off the field issues some known which were publicized and some not known by the general public.

Who do you think got “Joe Burrow and multiple other first round picks” on LSU’s team?

Yeah you’re smoking crack, you’re basing that assumption off what? 3 games? Myles was way less mobile than max and we saw the o line collapse more times than none. You forget Myles took 7 sacks in a game in 2020. So now if you wanna rephrase it to strongest arm you’re on to something.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but I think LSU finishes like 9-3, maybe a game better or worse.

Sure, very possible as LSU could have finished 9-3 as 3 of our loses were fairly close, however defense played a part in those 3 games also. This same statement could have been said the opposite direction for most of Les Miles season. Many of the wins under Les were close never sure until the end of the game.

Brennan's record is 1-2 and both loses were fairly close so his ability to win close games comes into question. Again, defense played a large role in the games also.

Hypothetical question and we will never know however last season LSU could easily won 8, 9 or even 10 games with a few tackles here, a few more blocks there and just tweaking a few plays

Did you see the oline this year? Brennan would have been hurt all year taking snaps behind LSu's Oline.

Brennan being injured had nothing to do with O's give a damn being broken. He reached his goal by beating Alabama and winning the NC. After that, I think he was emotionally done.

No. I think off the field issues sealed Coach O's fate.

I disagree. Brennan isn’t any better than Max was. He was better in some ways and worse in others.

Y’all may or may not agree with me, but if we beat ucla week 1 I think O keeps his job. It set the tone for the whole year.

The downvotes are amusing.
It it stupid to consider that a healthy Brennan results in Shrimp Boat being here in 2022?
