Until I looked at this thread, I actually had no idea where Kansas State was located.

Hmmm...I used to live in Manhattan, across from Central Park, but I don't recall this school or team at all.

They act like none of us have ever seen Kansas.

I've travelled this country a lot in my 59 years, but the only time I've been to Kansas is to lay over in their airport. I'm sure it's a nice place, though. At least it seems that way in The Wizard of Oz.

So much so that I can't even remember the last time I watched a KSU game. I think I watched them in the Fiesta bowl like 10-20 years ago. Looked it up, they've only played in it 3 times. Last one was 2013. Probably didn't watch that one. Must have been in 2004. I know they lost and the only one they won was in 97, so that wasn't it.

ETA: LSU has lost more bowl games than KSU has been in, and LSU has is 28-23-1 in bowls. National brand my arse.

I remember when K-State was the losingest program in college football and was on the verge of cancelling their football program if the newest hired football coach did not work out...they got lucky hiring Snider...

And then they abruptly dropped off when he retired.
Playing LSU is good for k state so the world can learn that they still have a football team.

The funniest one...They're all so incredibly racist!

The truth is, they will beat us. We were already short tons of key players and now with the op-outs, this game is over before it's ever played. I doubt LSU will have enough players to field a team.

It's the first LSU bowl game, I don't intend to watch. Moreover, having to play Kansas St is an erection killer. They've been irreverent since the early 1990s.

You can read these exact comments about Louisiana everyday on the OT from LSU fans.

No wonder recruiting is in trouble for LSU.

The average message board poster is not very bright, including TigerDroppings. That KSU board makes TigerDroppings looks like a MENSA convention.

Why does it have to be a Whitetail deer? Why can it just be deer?

I lived in Baton Rouge for three years, you guys. I got this.

1. Aside from maaaybe Spanish Town, that city is known as Topeka Without All The Excitement. Which says a ton. I have also heard it called Topeka Without All The Charm (also lol), and best of all, a professor I had in grad school called it The City That Never Wakes.

2. The amount of time you spend in traffic there is insane, and also is inversely proportional to how many cool things there are to do in that city that even make it worth sitting in that traffic.

3. Northgate is absolutely booty as a bar/shopping district. “Yeah, but The Chimes!” Uhhhh okay, how is Aggieville sweeter than its Baton Rouge equivalent when Baton Rouge literally has 20 times the population? “Yeah, but go to Tigerland instead and go to Fred’s!” Ummm, you mean the bar that basically roofies you the second you walk in? Yeah I’ll pass.

4. Can confirm the most attractive coeds on campus are the nutria that roam around LSU Lakes.

5. The whole city is segregated and racist as hell. They like to think of themselves as one big city, but really it’s just like 70% of it is an extension of Denham Springs white trash, and the other 30% is North Baton Rouge, which the racists that inhabit this place would never ever set foot in. Like these fools have no idea how sweet Shenanigan’s is, because they are all 100% racist. I could upload some screenshots of FB posts I have from people I worked with when I live there, but this is a family blog.

6. “You know what’s great? The stars and bars! You know what’s wven better? Making the stars and bars have LSU colors and then flying it in my goddamn living room!”

I need to take a break. I’m getting too worked up that we have to play yet another team feom a goddamn slave state. More later when I cool my jets a bit.

This guy definitely isn't trolling

He's not wrong.

ETA: only about that one. He clearly doesn't know what the "Stars and Bars" is.

I spent a week in Wichita back in 91'. They roll up the side walks at dusk. Like going back in time in that state and you have to worry about trailers being dropped on you from tornados. Flat as frick, carboard pizza has more personality than Kansas.
