Wtf is the world coming to. Type on a computer and print or even just email?
I’m slowly falling behind the times I guess.
You know... parents can teach their kids things, too.
100% of my children's knowledge, skills, and morality does not need to come from a bunch of teachers 10 months out of the year.

Wasn't cursive essentially created as a method to write faster? It really hasn't been necessary since the invention of the type writer

yup
I write in cursive now to confuse Millenials. They literally can't read it

Then why are you all so bad at math now?

Just requires an identifying mark. It doesn't require knowledge of cursive any more than writing in English using the Latin alphabet requires you to know Latin.

Just requires an identifying mark.
Exactly. All a signature is is a mark consenting to something. Does not matter if you print it, cursive it, or just write an X. My signature is basically the first letter of my name and a fancy squiggly line. No one really gives a shite.

Back in the day it was also a course in thinking through clearly before writing. Erasures and striking through errors were not allowed. Instead it was start from the beginning.

You know what that article didn’t say?
Learning to write in cursive was better than block.
Yea kids should learn to write.

I hope not! It provides little to no benefit now.

Subtle brag your kid goes to private school. Nice.

My kids school teaches it. Think they started in 2nd grade? It’s a magnet school though. The little girl I tutor is also learning, she started in 3rd grade. She goes to a private school.
