Just got the email.

I’m not going back though

quote:

“We are pleased to announce that after a brief disruption, we have reached a new distribution agreement with Google’s YouTube TV for continued carriage of our portfolio of networks,” Disney said in a statement. “We appreciate Google’s collaboration to reach fair terms that are consistent with the market, and we’re thrilled that our robust lineup of live sports and news plus kids, family and general entertainment programming is in the process of being restored to YouTube TV subscribers across the country.”

With the loss of channels, YouTube TV said it would lower its price by $15 to $49.99 per month. In a blog post about the reinstated service, YouTube TV said it would return to its original $64.99-per-month service cost, but that it will “honor a one-time credit for all impacted members.”

“For active members who have not yet received that $15 discount on their monthly bill, you will automatically receive a one-time credit on your next bill with no action needed,” YouTube TV said. “For members who were impacted and have initiated the cancellation process, we would love to welcome you back.”

YouTube TV said that it has started to restore access to the Disney-owned properties on its service, including local ABC stations, which will return “over the course of the day.”

It would be nice if they fix NBC by the time of the saints game but I'm not holding my breath.

How could they not do this before the deal expired?

Think it probably took the mass exodus that I'm sure occurred

These cocksuckers. This was Always going to happen, but of course I’ve already spent time cancelling and switching my parents over to Hulu, and trying to get them to learn how a new service operates, and the associated headaches that come with that.

Either way I’m happy, because Hulu live tv fricking sucks compared to YouTube tv.

ETA: and the last little cherry on top of the shite sundae is that customers who didn’t immediately cancel will get a one-time $15 reduction to their bill, and it doesn’t appear when I resubscribe as a “new customer” that will be available (see edit) . just so dumb, and avoidable. Hopefully the next time these cunts enter the negotiation phase they pay the Disney cunts so customers aren’t affected.

ETA2: I was incorrect in the first edit, youtube will honor the $15 one time credit for customers that immediately cancelled IF they sign back up before their monthly period ends.

You didn't play it well.

You should not have canceled yet while still on Hulu free trial.

I started watching FuboTV, but I'm back to YTTV. No feelings involved, strictly business. We're used to the platform and love the unlimited DVR

I switched to Fubo because I wanted to watch the football games yesterday. For the amount of TV I watch I find no real discernible difference so I'll probably stay with it for now just for the fact that I was forced to switch.

Yeah I could’ve waited, but it was a nice frick you to yttv, and my parent’s plan was set to renew in a few days I think. Had their next billing cycle been in a few weeks time I probably would’ve waited to cancel. I definitely didn’t think they’d rectify their frick up in just two days time.

But then again, if we didn’t cancel immediately, like many others, then they wouldn’t have been pressed to strike a deal.

Can't wait to see the next price hike. I'm sure Disney agreed to kick the price increase down the road 30 days so the deal could get done.

Anyone else not have the Disney/ESPN channels listed on their guide?

I can see the shows/games under the home tab, but when I go to the guide all those channels are gone.

I logged out and back in, made sure everything was updated, still no luck.

If you are using a custom guide where you picked the channels and order of your channels then I think you need to re-add them they wont show back up by themselves.
