Perkins is definitely gone. Okay this one… I don’t particularly understand, unless he’s being hired as a DC.

That’s a mistake if Kelly just didn’t retain him

He has had several DC job offers recently. He turned one down, but we hadn’t heard about the other (UTSA?) He must’ve decided to take it.

These moves make no sense to me. I wish I could have faith that they’re gonna upgrade at these spots but I don’t seeing as the one outside hire they’ve made is Kerry Cooks who is bad

Right. In other words, he isn’t being “let go”. He’s choosing to leave.

Apparently he's taking a DC job. It's a promotion.

Before Kelly was hired you said this staff needs a complete turnover.

I would think he’s taking a job with bigger responsibility, Like dc maybe? It seems obvious to me.

I guess the way it was worded by the news breaker makes it seem like he was told he wasn’t gonna get to stay here. I doubt that’s the case though. He’s a pretty well known coach who’s gonna have offers.

Gotcha. You know coaches better than BK. Why don’t you lay out YOUR plan for rebuilding this program? You think Kelly doesn’t know who Harold Perkins is? He does, and Baker is gone anyway, what does that tell you? There are other coaches besides the ones you know.

When the dust settles (after bowl games), BK will have a full and almost all new staff. It’s the reality. It’s healthy.

You can’t change the program by keeping the old coaches. Everyone is pissed that Raymond is gone. Pissed about Baker. Pissed about Moffit. People were complaining about Faulk and Joseph too. Now many want to keep Jones. It’s pretty standard to keep one coach around when something needs to be rebuilt. We know that Coach is Davis. You might as well assume the others will be leaving within the next 3 weeks as well. I would have been happy to see Baker stay, but I understand it. My guess is the other coaches see the writing on the wall and are looking like Joseph, Raymond and maybe baker

Just because YOU don’t know shite about him doesn’t mean that other people don’t. I actually follow college football outside of the LSU bubble. I also actually have a friend of a friend who played under Cooks at OU and his exact words was that “LSU just got worse”

Agree. CBK is an exceptional and accomplished coach and therefore, has his own entourage. I see some concern that the full staff is not lined up yet but that is only because the season is still alive and meaningful to the best coaches.

Well that settles it. Wrucker watches college football and has an anecdote from an anonymous former player.

We're fuuuuuuuuuuucked.

And if he has taken a DC job, which is likely considering that he was one of the few coaches still actively recruiting last week? Will it still be some mistake on the part of Kelly for him to upgrade positions? I wouldn’t put it past some of you assholes to say exactly that, considering some here complained that Kelly couldn’t get Freeman to be the DC here when he was the leader for a top 20 job in college football and ended up getting it.

Damn, some of you motherfrickers seem to enjoy seeking out opportunities to melt and lose your shite. A large portion of the fanbase that hangs out here is a fricking joke.
