Players leaving have nothing to do with O being a better coach. Ricks was on his way before O got fired and tried to quit last year. Palmer doesn't see a lot of playing time so he is moving on.

This is common with a coaching change. We have a lot of receivers on our team right now. The ball can only touch so many hands enough to satisfy them. I also think we would have lost receivers without a coaching change because of depth.

I mean it's pretty simple. The current players came to LSU to play for Orgeron and what he sold them on what it would be like at LSU.
Brian Kelly is now here and is working to change the entire toxic culture of this program. A lot of these players aren't onboard for this transition and want to head elsewhere.
Being that they produced two .500 seasons, I don't really care.

O was the culmination of a decade of the culture at lsu shitting the bed. Burrow applied a bandaid to a sucking chest wound.

Palmer is about to be a 4th year player and he’s struggling for playing time.
Max just sucked and needed a fresh start
Boutte is clearly just eyeing his options to maximize his 3rd year before the NFL draft. Hopefully we can sell him on catching 100000x passes from Brennan

Some players just don’t like Kelly, for whatever reason. Some feel buried in the depth chart and want a new start. Some want more NIL money. And some are being processed to fit the new alignment. And, for whatever reason they leave, we really don’t want any of these guys around anyway.

It’s about Personal responsibility and rules. O had different rules for different guys. BK and the new strength coach have laid out expectations. They apply to everyone. No exceptions. If you don’t like it, hit the door.
We were fortunate in 2019 to have guys on Offense and Defense who kept everyone in line. Those guys left and when they did it created a huge void. O didn’t do anything to fill that void. The culture we from one team one heart beat to no team and my heartbeat. Fact.
