A newly approved eye drop hitting the market on Thursday could change the lives of millions of Americans with age-related blurred near vision, a condition affecting mostly people 40 and older.
Vuity, which was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in October, would potentially replace reading glasses for some of the 128 million Americans who have trouble seeing close-up. The new medicine takes effect in about 15 minutes, with one drop on each eye providing sharper vision for six to 10 hours, according to the company.

I’ll wait and see, don’t want to be a guinea pig for anything having to do with my vision.

Yeah I’ll wait. I’ll definitley ask at my eye appointment later this week but I’ll wait and see to actually ask for it.

A 30-day supply of the drug will cost about $80 and works best in people 40 to 55 years old, a Vuity spokesperson said. Side effects detected in the three-month trial included headaches and red eyes, the company said.
I find this very hard to believe it’s this cheap

Will it take the red out of my eyes after I smoke wee— I mean take my glaucoma medicine?

That would be great. My left eye is almost perfect but my right eye is a little off. I asked about the laser surgery one time and the doc said that my vision isn’t bad, it just seems that way since they’re uneven. Caused headaches and eye strain trying to focus so I wear glasses at the computer but don’t really need them other than that. I’d love to put a drop in the one eye and not worry with glasses.

I don't like anything at all touching my eyes. Freaks me out. However, I had cataract lens replacement surgery on both eyes. While certainly not a guinea pig, to say I was scared as shite during the first eye surgery is the understatement of the century. Takes a lot of trust for sure. Fear wasn't bad during the second eye surgery but that doesn't negate the initial fear of the first surgery.
