Had covid Jan.22-mild symptoms, I guess
Lost taste for a couple of weeks, came back , though
Starting mid to late summer, taste and smell got weird. At first I thought i was giving off the smell
Come to find out, even though i taste/smell underlying things, it still smells?tastes like garbage
ENT said its covid and to try aroma therapy. Anyone with a similar problem?

There is a signature “burnt” smell I only smell around certain things. Chick-fil-a grilled nuggets bring it back the strongest for some reason.
I’ve only ever recognized this signature smell post-covid.

I had Covid in Late July 2021. Coffee still smells funny to this day. That’s all I got.

I wish Covid made everything smell like Chinese food

Don't know about the covid part, but anytime I've had a sinus infection which is probably once a year, I get the weird smell and taste thing
I'm assuming the ENT ruled that out already

Try having your BF stop busting in your mouth. Check back in a few days.

Do we need anymore proof that COVID is a result of Fauci making a deal w Satan?

A good friend says she cannot smell normal odors since Covid got her last December, 2020. Everything smells like the faint smell of automobile exhaust. Sad.

Covid is metaphor for what we’re doing to Mother Earth

Lost taste and smell for a week or two after the wuflu in July. Both came back normal for most everything, except shite. And anything associated with shite. Doesn’t matter if it’s mine, or I let one rip, change my kids diaper, or drive by the poo factory on Gardere. They all smell the same, almost sweet but almost pungent. Weirdest thing and weirdest smell, I can’t even really explain the smell.

What sucks, you can't appreciate your own farts anymore..

Same. And I can't explain it.

I am in the same boat. Had Covid 11 months ago and smell has never returned right. About 5 months ago fried foods (any) smell and taste horrible to me. I have not ate anything fried since last Spring essentially.
I look at it as a blessing as I have lost weight, BP is down and cholesterol has lowered as well. Does kind of suck though.
I have tried it and essentially it is smelling essential oils of the following - Rose, Lemon, Clove and Euculyptus. What happened is your brain and smell are out of whack when you started relearning smell. Covid actually killed smell and your body has to regrow and relearn. The aroma therapy is to help your brain learn, but it is as much mental as physical. You have to try and remember the proper smells to work.
I have kind of given up on it as it could take months and months. Going to live my life fried food free.

Haha, thought it was just me. I can smell things, but I really cannot smell poop at all.
Of course I have to always pickup the nasty dog poops on walks, because the wife and kids can smell it.
It is strange, but I have not smelled the dogs poop in 11 months

I had it in January as well and your symptoms sound identical to mine.

smoked smells are harder for me to determine, feels like this disease was a parasite with a mind of its own.

I had COVID in late-August/early-September 2020. I have certain things that still don't taste and smell right.
I will also occasionally have a stretch of days where I have this weird smell in my nose. I don't lose my ability to smell other things, and my taste doesn't change, but this weird smell is constantly there. Then one day I'll wake up and the smell is gone.
