Yeah you were on here crying about how Kelly isn't doing anything to hire coaches and recruit yesterday so I wouldn't put too much stock in to your thoughts on the coaching searches.

I don't feel bad for anyone making more than $1 mil a year. Also, at LSU the expectation is to be elite, not to just be improving from terrible to not terrible.

Jones was lucky to get the job last year and was paid handsomely. Defense didn’t change until Lane called Ed and told him they were too predictable.

I don’t feel bad if we let him go, but rather I feel bad that he had to walk into this situation when he clearly wasn’t ready. However, with the way the defense improved on the backend, I really do hope he can either stay on as a safety coach and learn under a true DC or gets another opportunity in a lower division. Dudes a good coach, just had to learn a lot on the job.

Yes let’s feel bad for the guy that only got the job because no respectable DC wanted to be under Coach O. Guy benefited huge from this chance to the tune of millions and will probably get a new Power 5 DC job simply for not sucking at LSU.

I don't feel bad for him, but you know he has to be thinking "it would have been nice to show what kind of DC I could be earlier than the 8th game of the season if I didn't have to run my idiot HC's scheme/approach. If only we could have played Ole Miss in early September. Then Lane Kiffin could have told this moron how pathetic and predictable his defensive approach was then so we could have changed to my defensive approach much earlier."
