I'm not saying he cannot be successful as an offensive coordinator at some point. And I'm not saying don't hire him, but right now, he needs the guidance of a seasoned play caller.

LSU won the lotto in 2019 with players, coaches, scheme etc. Ensminger and Brady worked well together. On one hand you had the crotchety veteran and on the other you had the young gun, up and comer. Ensminger knew exactly how much rope to give Brady, and Brady took advantage of those opportunities.

The 2019 season was not an either/or situation. It was an AND situation. Ensminger and Brady made that offense what it was. I don't think either one of them would have had that same success alone.

In short, hire Brady as the passing game coordinator, and hire Art Briles as the OC. Win-Win.

Seems like the combination of B Kelly offensive mind (see Cincy era ) and Brady would be a good one.

LSU had already offered Brady the OC job prior to him leaving for Carolina. If he does return to LSU, he’s not accepting anything less.

There’s a zero percent chance the new coach we just gave 10 mil a year to is hiring “wonder boy” to live in the old coaches past. Y’all lack emotional intelligence if you think this has any chance of happening. morons.

I really can’t believe some of y’all and how ignorant you can be!

We get the Jimmy’s & the Joe’s at LSU, the 3 NC’s since 2000 prove that. All we need is the right people to help with the X’s and the O’s. Joe Brady has proven he knows the X’s and the O’s and that can’t be debated.

With Walker Howard coming in, Brady is exactly what we need! NC within 3 years!

LSU would not have won the 2019 NC if they had they ran the same 2018 offense.
I love Ensminger, his work ethic and dedication but his offense and play calling would not have gotten it done in 2019.
Plus Brady came in and put the WR's through the ringer that summer. Brady made Jefferson and Chase into 1st rounders. I've never had more confidence in the WR's catching a 50/50 ball, or if the ball was reachable they were going to catch it. If Brady wasn't here in 2019, Burrow wouldn't have won the Heisman, Jefferson and Chase wouldn't not have been 1st rounders.

I agree with this completely. Add to that, what Brady can do with WR's. Our WR's were completely different guys from 2018 to 2019.

Great point. The energy brady brought to the receiving room was great.

If Kelly thinks he's the best option then he will be offered, BK can mentor him like he did with his former OC....the difference offensively between 18 and 19 was Brady, 1 season and 1 SECC, a NC, a Heisman trophy, the #1 pick etc etc. Like it or not, he should be a SERIOUS candidate

Totally agree MJoseph is not a great WR coach. He is a great recruiter. And a necessary trade off sometime. But not doubt what Brady did with that groups was incredible.
