Five Republican senators donated a total of $25,000 to the Senate campaign of Katie Britt, the primary opponent of the Trump-endorsed Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.)
Britt served as the chief of staff for Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), whose seat she and Brooks are now vying for. She announced her run for Senate in June, two months after former President Donald Trump endorsed Brooks.
According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records first reported by Politico, the political action committees for five GOP senators donated to Britt’s campaign: Sen. Michael Crapo’s (R-Idaho) Freedom Fund, Sen. Debra Fischer’s (R-Neb.) Nebraska Sandhills PAC, Sen. James Inhofe’s (R-Okla.) Fund for a Conservative Future, Sen. Joni Ernst’s (R-Iowa) Jobs Opportunity and New Ideas PAC, and Shelley Moore Capito’s (R-W.Va.) Wild and Wonderful PAC.
None of the five senators have donated to Brooks’s campaign, according to FEC records.

Trump said in a statement in July that Britt is not qualified.
“I see that the RINO Sen from Ala, close friend of Old Crow Mitch McConnell, Richard Shelby, is pushing hard to have his ‘assistant’ fight the great Mo Brooks for his Senate seat,” Trump said, using an acronym for Republican in name only. “She is not in any way qualified and is certainly not what our Country needs.”

Should be illegal.

I agree. You should only be able to contribute for a candidate or political issue on which you can actually vote. Not for someone or something in another state.
If there were a new country this would be one of my suggested amendments.

My Senator in Bama.
Trump could have also said the I don't do anything but get rich Rino Shelby.

Soooo, looks like we have some more rinos to primary then.

I wish Trump had backed someone else. Mo Brooks sucks.

This is why every NRSC email I receive gets some permutation of "frick off" in response.

The Senators use their PACs to support.
Thus, no out of pockert expenses for them.
Always the case of spending someone else's money.

I know Shelby’s brother and even he doesn’t…..….never mind!

Damn, she could frick up a carrot in no time.

Britt is a Rino hand selected by Shelby. Mitch would love her.

Her pics are above the "Pics" question ..
I see her billboards everywhere, Birmingham North, West and East ...What a waste. She'll get destroyed in the primary. Shelby is the baggage for her. No one wants anything to do with his RINO recommendation.

Who in their right mind wants a politician that is qualified? All you need is to be able to read and be God fearing.

The amount of money they are putting behind her is insane. Can't go 10 miles on a significant road in North/central Alabama without seeing her face and the strategically prominent necklace. (For the record, I am Christian but I think it is more pandering than sincere).
All the establishment PACs are behind her. Alfa, one of the most influential in Alabama quickly endorsed her. Someone even paid an attendee to appear behind the ESPN Gameday set yesterday with a giant fathead of her.
I think there's a chance Durant is a setup, or at least was encouraged to enter the race, to split the MAGA vote. Mo was comfortably leading swampBritt in the polls in the beginning, but since Durant became a factor Brooks has lost the lead to swampBritt. with his points splitting off to Durant.
Anyone picked by that swampmonster billionaire Shelby should be rejected.

AMEN to that - Shelby needs complete eradication when he leaves for good.
Hell, there are 9,000 buildings with his name on them - GIVE IT UP, Dick!

Mo Brooks sucks.
Give me a SPECIFIC example of a policy or position of Brooks you oppose and why.
I have personally known Brooks for 55 years (went to school w/him in Huntsville) and he has absolute integrity and is an originalist Constitutional scholar.

Mo needs to thank them for getting him more votes from Alabamians.
