re: Any Route 66 fans here?

The best July 4th fireworks show I've ever seen was in Tucamcari. Seemed like a predominantly Native American town so I was quite surprised.

How are you getting an 8-day trial?
I know WV is famous for pepperoni rolls, where would one find authentic ones? And not some gourmet hipster type place, I mean the real thing. The only place I've seen them while traveling through was in a bag in a convenience store, and those weren't great.
Unfortunately I missed your answer on Kirk before the topic was deleted. I do think the reason for the decision to
- or not to - hold a moment of silence was an athletic department decision and Auburn football (thus fitting your desire to stick to AD decisions) since it was at a football game and many Auburn fans had an opinion. And my supposition was not b/c of our AD's children, rather his views and his wife's known outspokenness.

How so? You're not the first to mention that in this thread

Why was the Cohen topic deleted?

Was there something posted I missed? Just wanna know the rules, which are obviously different than the other TD boards

Is this fact? Seriously, didn't know that.
It always seems the ones who advocate for that type (as his wife did) have one in the family
Was he on his way out and Auburn gave him a parachute? Or a good AD?

.... and thoughts on Nelle?
It doesn't matter if she's in studio or on the sideline, she's always talking like a giddy 13 year old describing her new boyfriend. She'd probably describe a gruesome injury in that fashion too.

but for a long time there's also been an extremely liberal and vocal segment as well

Oxford city is a haven for self-described "intellectuals" that are flaming wokd beta men and liberal women. John T Edge and Wright Thompson for example. Those two soy betas will probably double-down on dining at her restaurant now. Heck, they may make another Truesouth on Oxford just to feature her restaurant.

Disguised as a show about southern food culture, it's primary focus is to weave white-guilt narratives into every episode. As stated, the host and producer are both woke betas.
In a case like this, up until first pitch the home team holds the most influence on whether to play. Obviously, Tennessee pushed to start the game.
Can't believe all the downvotes from those supporting love for goodman or al-dotcommie. It is a heavily slanted garbage website that is contrary to the majority of Alabamians. Didn't click or read, but surprised if goodman didn't fit a lefty angle in the column. His views fit those of his employer perfectly.

Surely there's more to it.............................................right?

Yes, there is. Kentucky dugout was extremely chirpy, dancing, and in general acting like a bunch of softball girls all series long. So... they toss the Auburn players for making a rowing motion.
Haven't checked the ESPN networks today, but wouldn't be surprised if they spurned the DFP games for more forcefeeding of some "womens" games

people should be able to say anything they want without getting a beating.

See my account above of the "beating" event

And very difficult to believe, if you've ever been to Oxford.

I imagine the polls were not actual student voting, but that of the town, Oxford city is a den of wokesters
To the Plainsman writer's comment and posters' questions on beatdown occuring...
The video account I saw:
-Hamas supporter and counter-protester come nose-to-nose;
-counter-protester shoves Hamas supporter
-Hamas supporter lunges back and throws the first punch
-then, after first punch thrown, the "beatdown" occurs

Outside of the university confines, isn’t Oxford primarily black?

No, it is a small town full of "academians" and "literary creative-types". Those woke beta soysters that host and produce True South were drawn to live in Oxford. They're probably typical of most there.

Can anyone explain to me why the Franklin County Board of Education amendment was a statewide amendment on my ballot here in Talladega County?

Because the aforementioned terrible Alabama constitution requiring statewide vote on amendments affecting local areas

Advice on parking in Lexington, KY

Suggestions on parking for Kentucky football? Don't mind walking a half-mile or a little more. Would rather park further out and not fight as much traffic afterwards.
Three pages and not a claim that Nellie was the hottest? That smart-alec could get it!
I'm surprised that the dad shot him instead of Charles. Seems like every single time a hero was needed it was always Charles Ingalls... every. single. time. Like there was not another single alpha male or problem solver in the entire town.
If that is her full sister, there appears to be zero black in them. But we already knew that

I've spent days in Asheville and barely run into a single black person, yet they are 40% of the city administration/council?

That's immediately what struck me when I saw the mayor/council, along with zero men. Then I looked at the county government... 3 female / 1 male, two of four black.

Therefore 5 of 11 city/county leaders (46%) are black. All but one are women.

Asheville is 4% black, Buncombe County is 6% black.

Being a visitor to the Blue Ridge area for years I'd heard the city had been taken over by the hipsters 20 years ago, now the DEI crowd.

***EDIT to add the mayor was born in Denmark, WTH???*** Sounds like she was groomed to flip the city

Oxford seems like a very liberal town. Why else would virtue-signaling soy betas like those two guys from the "True South" show choose to live there?
