With hindsight this is the one major problem I have with Trump. He chose his inner circle very poorly. Either he trusted the swamp, that he threatened, to provide him good advisors or he put sycophants into positions of power. He needs to have learned a major lesson there.

This right here makes the Trump administration successful and consequential.
We talk about fighting for the country. Imagine if Hillary Clinton had made these 3 appointments.
Each seat would be held by someone as qualified as Kentaji Brown Jackson.
I can embrace every single criticism of Trump as valid but that would still make him a better choice than Clinton, Biden, Newsome or whoever else the Democrats trot out next.
