I thought that the data came out that wind turbines are a net loss. It takes more energy to build them and maintain them than you ever get from them.

But china makes 80% of the turbines so it is ok.

Probably scorched thousands of birds to death. Burnt up dead birds piled up under that thing.

This happened to be a faulty unit-- wind turbines are generally grounded to prevent destruction by lighting.

There are other hazards associated with a changing climate, and turbines, as well. About a dozen turbines were put out of service earlier this year in Knox County in West Texas thanks to a tornado.

Is your dumbass suggesting a tornado was caused by climate change?

All kind of fun things happen with wind turbines:

deicing in extreme cold

leaking oil

Ah, come on man! What could be wrong with a power source that is intermittent, has a short life expectancy, with a huge environmental foot print, is unreliable with a maintenance profile more like an aircraft 200' up in the air while killing lots of birds.

It's all unicorns and rainbows!

Looks like a useful innovation. Eagle hits turbine in flight and is roasted and ready for consumption by the time it hits the ground. I've heard roasted eagle tastes like dolphin.

We just need to capture that final burst of energy when they get struck by lightning through that smoldering finish. Game changer.

Those things are aesthetically ugly, not to mention the birds. We should be building a thousand mini nuclear reactors like on aircraft carriers with underground wires in storm vulnerable areas. That would be real Infrastructure security and efficiency.

It’s almost as if Mother Nature herself scoffs at “green energy”.
