Did something NEW happen, or are you just letting us know you've reached your boiling point?

there's an event this weekend that my kid on a team is committed to. i'm not happy that we didn't pull out but i have no idea if i'd be even able to test negative in a timely manner. But the whole ordeal of being able to find an antigen testing availability is a shite show. i may have to do it day of at a location, and what, if any of my family is +, i'm fricked out of watching, supporting and being a guardian of my child at the venue? Besides costing me $50 or more per test of family members needed.

A bit harsh, but sometimes the moment overtakes you.

This is going to happen to me at some point soon unless things change. I'm not looking forward to it and hate it for you. It's a damn shame.

You know what you can do with your kid that doesn't require a COVID test?

Fishing.

Plus, you get to spend some actual quality time with your kid, instead of just watching him play with others.

Active > passive.

Make a fake card, take a picture on your phone and show that. Problem solved.

The people checking the cards never look that hard at them.

Because he's going to get locked out of one if he doesn't test negative - and it ain't the fishing one.

You got a problem with fishing? Some of my fondest memories are fishing with my old man.

Give a man a fish, and he'll eat it.

Teach a man to fish, and he'll bring you fish when you're old and feeble.
