His twitter is full of him wanting to come back and get another chance, would be nice with the thin LB room.

Whatever happened to that guy? I forgot him and either missed the story or forgot it.

I’m the same way, I can’t remember exactly. I want to say it was a graded issue though

Just found that he was arrested for running from the cops and a firearm charge but he claimed that was water under the bridge and was actually kicked from the team due to grades.

Not sure Kelly is willing to take those kind of chances when he’s trying to rebuild the culture but if he talks to the guy and wants to give him a chance then I won’t complain.

Played at a Mississippi junior college last season, I believe.

We always say we want guys who want to be here… looking at his Twitter, he WANTS to be at LSU.

I think he’s at least worth a look. See where he’s at now.

Slim to none. Has all the traits Kelly is moving away from.

We have way too big of a need at MLB that we can’t afford to take any chances there. We need instant starters along with depth

Matt House would not only be his coordinator but also his position coach. Matt House and Tyrann Mathieu apparently have a good relationship. We have a need so if House thinks the kid can help and if he is really the head coach of the defense like Kelly has implied I see no reason why he wouldn't take a chance in a kid learning his lesson. Especially after coaching one of the biggest "get your shite together" spokesman in football history.

Micah Baskerville and Mike Jones Jr got MLB on lockdown, assuming MB comes back

So true and very admirable.

But he may have to stick to that and accept that he cannot come back if CBK is trying to curve toward a guy that hasn’t made these kinds of mistakes I the past.

I dunno. Our team was and our transfers were full of players who refused to admit errors and would take the other way out at the drop of a pin instead of taking their lumps.

A player that did both, admitted his errors and took his lumps, and now wants to reap the benefits is the character I think any coach seeks. I suspect it is the opposite of what you said.

IF he has the talent/skills level to play. If he can't start, that's all moot. The unwritten contract here is both sides get something out of it.

That’s a big assumption. Problem with Baskerville is that even if he comes back to LSU - the dude can’t keep his grades in order for shite.

IMO, it’s Kinda getting to the point where the team can’t totally rely on Baskerville’s availability

I’d love to have him, but it does seem that CBK doesn’t enjoy babysitting players with trouble.

It’s sucks for the kid if he is on the straight and narrow now, but my gut says Kelly doesn’t give him a look. I hope he figures it out and has lots of success somewhere though.

Based on the rules in the pinned post “ Signing Limit Waiver Details & Projected Attrition”, Donte would be a counter (counts toward the 85) not an initial counter (so the 25 limit would not apply). Seems like worth considering if he is good enough to contribute and has truly addressed any prior problems.
