For me, it's a great movie and an all time rewatchable. The scenery and score alone are worth watching, IMO. Just a beautiful film.

Anything Kevin Costner does is worth watching. I don’t even view him as an actor. More of a biographer, storyteller. DWW, whenever it’s on, is always worth watching. Wished he could have won the Best Actor Oscar.

It has to be good. Just look at how much money Avatar has made by copying the story almost exactly. All James Cameron did was paint the Indians blue and move them to outer space.

That was worth a few billion dollars.

A bit overhyped and neeeevvverrrr should’ve won best picture over Goodfellas.

A bit overhyped, maybe, but I disagree with the best picture point. And that’s no knock against Goodfellas.

The wolf getting shot is simply an allegory for the spirit of the American plains Indian culture getting terminated by the military invasion.

Love it.

Soundtrack and cinematography alone put it in rare air. The story is epic and timeless.

The final scene with Wind in His Hair proclaiming his friendship for Dunbar hits you right in the heart.

Didn’t like it. The Nobel savage is WAY overplayed.

I loved it. The scene at the end when he's leaving and his now friend re-enacts his proud proclamation from earlier - but reverses his sentiment this time saying "Can't you see that you are my friend"? Man, Niagra Falls.
