Remember the All Star game shooters with all the guns in the hotel? Turns out it was...

Turns out those guns in the hotel room had nothing to do with the All Star game. The arrested were just plain old meth head drug dealers who were looking to sell the guns. Even the FBI, who loves them a juicy story for the media, is admitting as much. Don't you love how the media played this up when it happened but now is quietly admitting that the whole story they spun was wrong?
That being said, one of the defendants made some statements in court that are sure to fire up the conspiracy theorists.

The FBI's Denver office said it didn't think the incident was terror-related. "We are not aware of any threat to the All-Star Game events, venues, players, or the community at this time," officials said.

Ricardo Rodriguez was charged with possession of a weapon by a previous offender. He told CNN affiliate KCNC that he never heard of any plans of shooting at the All-Star Game and that he "would have intervened, absolutely" if he had heard anything like that. "There's no way I would ever allow anybody that I knew of to shoot actively into a crowd with women and children and families, there's no way, there's no way whatsoever. Never," Ricardo Rodriguez said in a jailhouse interview.
FBI officials in Denver have also said they have no reason to believe the incident is connected to a threat directed at the All-Star Game. Ricardo Rodriguez said he met the other suspects the day before the arrests and that they had multiple firearms, including a sniper rifle and several assault-style rifles, as well as drugs. He said he thought the guns were intended to be sold or traded.
That being said, one of the defendants made some statements in court that are sure to fire up the conspiracy theorists.
quote:
Ricardo Rodriguez "seems to be the leader of this entire incident and we believe he's a serious danger to the community," Denver Deputy District Attorney Michelle Williams said. Rodriguez told the judge that he "worked for the government privately for over 16 years." "This includes the Department of Homeland Security Counterterrorism division and U. S. Department of the Treasury for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms as well as the U. S. Department of Justice for the same entity," he said.

Somebody check on Ricardo. He is not supposed to be telling the judge it was all a government operation. He will be Epsteined.

But I was told right here on this very site by posters who just KNEW this was a terror plot that anyone who couldn’t see how obvious this was- that it was going to be a mass shooting- was in denial and beyond help.
Bet they won’t come back and post
In this thread.

Remember that time that everyone assumed it was another LasVegas type mass shooting and it turned out it wasn’t. (Including some of the posters on this site)

There will be no backtracking by media and accountability for the mass shooting narrative that was spread

Most gun owners on this site knew there was something fishy when they only had 1000 rounds

So, Chicagobadger and catfishjohn are 0 for 2 on this topic?

If he was going to shoot up the crowd and it got foiled, I would expect he would say something like this.
quote:
Rodriguez told the judge that he "worked for the government privately for over 16 years."
I watched a court cam where a criminal told a judge he was a former SEAL team member and when the judge asked him basic questions like where he did his training he couldn't answer.
Not saying I think he was going to shoot up the crowd.

wow, what a real “gotcha” moment! you have to be a stupid fricking MORON to think people found with that many guns in a hotel room might have been planning something sketchy!

Can’t remember the poster but someone nailed it on the selling guns theory

That's not what Keith Olberman told me
Do you think he and others will retract and correct their statements now?

Say you were ACTUALLY going to shoot up the All Star game fans from a hotel room.
Who ever would think you would need to bring the entire stash of weapons to the room weeks in advance to plan it out?

Sketchy? You mean like illegal gun sales?

Breaking news, Ricardo Rodriguez commits suicide by shooting himself in the head 3 times and then throws himself in the river.

This was a huge headline
This retraction is page 10 in tiny print, if at all.

Anyone with a brain knew this.
In fact many people said it was drug related in the original thread.
