Do you own a pair of shoes that’s worth shining?

My dress shoes are $250 or so and a shoe shine from a guy in the subway is $50. Damn I can buy a new pair for cost of 5 shines. What’s your dress shoes?

A man should shine his own shoes anyway.

Yes I do. Bought some polish and a brush. It's not hard to do things yourself.

I find shoe shining to be therapeutic. During army basic training it was one of the only times you could sit quietly and do something. I shine at least one pair of shoes every month or so.

just use a squirt of your husband's anal lube with a rag. Works just the same.

Never felt the need to shine my shoes. Can’t say I look at shoes of other people either

Several but do them myself. I would think most do the same.

I’ve been shining my shoes since I was 6.
Never been lazy enough to pay someone to do it ever.

Lawd Mercy…
What’s it take him? 10 minutes?
That’s waaaay too much.
I shine my own.

I don't shine them but my daily footwear is a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers. About once a month I clean them with saddle soap and oil them with mink oil. They get a lil shiny after that. They are a few years old and still look new. $350 dollar boots and they'll probably last me 10 or so more years. It's around $100 to have them resoled.
It takes 15 minutes to clean/shine shoes, just do it yourself while you're watching tv.

damn, you can set yourself up with Saphir shining supplies for under $100 (or go cheaper with Kiwi) and be good to go for years. Its easy and I find it rewarding. I'm not a fan of throw away shoes so its an essential skill for me.

Several.
And I own a shoe shine kit. My dad gave it to me as a high school graduation present.
A man should know how to shine his own shoes and iron his own shirts. But, if he chooses to pay someone else to do it, he shouldn't bitch about it.
