LINK

Inflation was flat in October from the previous month, providing a hopeful sign that stubbornly high prices are easing their grip on the U.S. economy and giving a potential green light to the Federal Reserve to stop raising interest rates.

But if you read the very next paragraph...

The consumer price index, which measures a broad basket of commonly used goods and services, increased 3.2% from a year ago despite being unchanged for the month,

So month over month it's flat but year over year it's up 3.2% but don't look at that

I'm really confused as to what you are so upset about

It literally gives you all the information in that article.

The rate of inflation is slowing. It's a positive thing.

Good news, inflation is over. Ignore that everything is up 50% from 2 years ago.

Because we didn’t massively overprint currency when Trump was in office?

CPI is a lagging indicator.

Prices will never fall all the way back down or, perhaps, not fall much at all...corporations are gonna corporation. But flat? I'll take flat after the way the last year has been.

It would be lower if you counted food and energy since energy dropped in October

Everything will remain expensive...inflation is horrible...but deflation can be a sign of much bigger problems.

Exactly how many times did you vote for Biden in the last election?

So dishonest. I can't stand when people that say this, or that it's slowing.

The prices aren't going back to what they were, they've just leveled off now that they are much higher.

If it did you must be leaking electrons somewhere.

My latest electricity/gas bill (month of October) was lower by more than 50% from September.
