Murphy Paul doesn't have the right to go off on anyone.

Did he do to beat them to the punch?

What a shocker.
He goes into preacher mode crying about racism in a dept and city run by black people.
These people are a predictable as the sunrise.

Always nice to see your police chief going of like a hood rat.

Oh wow. That should be the nail in his coffin. The powers that be in Baton Rouge won’t like that.

Does the area where the metro council members sit look like a game show setup to anyone else? Maybe it's the little blue screens.

Hard to believe this angle still holds any weight. Im so jaded, I could witness overt racism and still be skeptical at this point. Sad.

Brave cave is quite the conundrum for that side. Somehow it’s someone else’s fault.

Also, that was unbelievably trashy and unprofessional. Concealed it as long as he could.

He clearly doesn’t have the temperament, nor a good enough grasp of the English language, to be in any leadership position.

Questions came up on how Troy Lawrence Jr. was allowed to be on the street crimes unit, where he’s accused of using the brave cave, also referred to as a “torture warehouse” in a recently filed federal lawsuit. Chief Paul responded that the officer’s father, Deputy Chief Troy Lawrence Sr. put him in that division and that was why he had placed his father on administrative leave as of this morning. Councilman Dwight Hudson asked in response that Troy Lawrence Sr. was no longer over that division so how could he have placed his own son there. The chief responded that Troy Lawrence Sr. asked for his son to be put in that unit. However, the chief must sign off on any moves any officers make within the department.

Everything I learned about the workings of inner city politics was cultivated btw 2006-2008.
1. David Simon and The Wire was a Sunday night ritual.
2. Began writing letters to editor for advocate and attending BR City council meetings. It was a circus.
3. The Rousan development near Perkins and Lee. SouthDowns residents were against it. There was a councilperson running for election that was against it. Once elected, they voted for it and resigned. Turns out, their campaign was funded by a Rousan.

We have a black mayor, who hired a black chief, who had a black supervisor, whose son was a cop that beat up a black suspect and its all whiteys fault.
