PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – Health experts say a new COVID-19 variant is fueling an increase in new cases, but local public health officials didn’t seem to have a lot of say on the matter.
Doctors have dubbed the new COVID variant BA.2.86 or Pirola. It was first detected in Denmark on July 24. It has spread to a number of countries as well as Michigan, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia here in the U.S..

Because nobody cares. It's no deadlier than any other flu-like virus and letting it ruin our lives and society again isn't an option.

Because if hospitals are fine it doesnt matter
This variant isnt causing the severe pneumonia that OG covid and delta did
The people getting hospitalized for this variant are really there for other shite 90% of time

I caught COVID in Denmark early in August. It sucked. I guess I got the new variant. All good now except for a bit of a lingering cough.
