When going to the beach, do you leave your flip-flops on the boardwalk?

Personally, I do not trust anyone and I have awesome flip-flops, so I do not ever leave them on the boardwalk before the sand starts.

It always surprises me how many people leave their flip-flops and sandals on the boardwalk before the sand starts.

Because they don’t want sand rubbing on their feet for the rest of the day?

I'm not wearing any flip flops I care about losing because I leave mine. If I'm not going out on the sand, I'll wear the good pair that look nice.

I just take them off and bring them with me. Most places have little stations where you can rinse the sand off your feet when you walk back in.

I mean you're going to get sand on your feet either way. Just bring the flip flops with you and put them next to your spot on the beach.

Always leave them. Who cares if someone steals your cheap flip flops there are a million shops nearby at the beach to buy another pair at if you have to

Not exactly answering you question but I remember going one year with my family spending 8 days, arriving on Friday and leaving the following Saturday. After we hauled everything up to the room I took my shoes off and tucked them away under a side table and never put them on again for the entire trip until the day came to leave.

This is what I do. Take them off and hold them until I get to our spot on the beach and then put them under my chair.

No way I’m gonna leave my expensive arse flip flops on the boardwalk.

I bring them with me because the sand is usually 120 degrees when I head back in.

Do people steal flip flops? That’s gross. It’s been on someone else’s bare feet

If you’re flip-flops are more than a couple bucks a set, your money management problems are sus.

What happens if you want to go inside a bar or restaurant that requires shoes right near your beach spot ? Then you have to go all the way back to your condo.

In 35 years of going to the beach this has never happened to me or anyone I know. Who is stealing nasty, worn flip flops?
