Tries to inclusively claim underweight women would feel shame.

Yes. So ashamed that she had to call a news station and get on camera to discuss it.

Employee’s are taught to add 25 pounds to whatever a woman says her weight is.

The fact that so many people in our society are unable to grasp the consequences of being overweight from personal health to safety issues is quite sad. We've failed as a society by teaching our feelings as a truth instead of actual physical reality.

I would really like to know what she said her weight was. If she said 110, it would have definitely got a laugh out of me as well.

I heard they do this to “everyone” and it is clearly a safety screening issue…. So get over it.

What passes for news today is absolutely pathetic. Ok, some guy at the water park was an a-hole to some fat lady. How the hell is that “news”?

Well if she got stuck and clogged it up , her weight and the water build up behind her could take the whole thing down it’s just science.

Seriously though, There are good reasons they have these rules.

Water slide collapses at Calif. amusement park, killing one, injuring 32

Schlitterbahn has that system with the green and red lights. I saw one time a woman got the red light and was told she was too heavy for a ride. She bitched and they let her go on. Though some kid died at a Schlitterbahn due to being in a ride with someone too heavy.

Never understood why having so say your weight is an issue. It’s pretty clear if you are fat or not by looking at you. The number doesn’t change how you look.

Last park I went to you had to get in a scale w the folks you wanted to ride w, you got a green or red light.

I like not dying on a stupid ride so it didn’t bother anyone in our party

Yeah me too. She is nowhere near the weight limit on that sign.

She was given the option to step on the scale or just tell them out loud. She chose to tell them out loud. She could have stepped on the scale and the only person who would have seen was the lifeguard.

I’d solve this problem at the park entrance with a scale. If you’re over a certain weight, you aren’t allowed in the park period. It would make the park less trashy and provide for a more pleasing environment for everyone.
