Barber increases prices due to "inflation." Do you take the difference out of the tip?

Barber recently told me he was upping his price due to "inflation bro." I was already paying the guy more than the base price with a tip. Would you continue to add the tip on top of this more expensive base price or just not tip anymore?
Just not a huge fan of the playing into service industry folks giving themselves a raise and crying "inflation" as their reasoning and then never decreasing their prices when "inflation" is over.
I know, I know...Dear Facebook,

Do you think inflation isn't real?

When has inflation ever been “over” in your lifetime?

How much are you paying for a cut?
Are you happy with the service?

get a woman to cut your hair
offer to give her just the tip
show her what kind of man you really are.

Barbers shouldn’t get COLA?

Barbers have supplies and utilities and rent and etc. to pay for also.

I'm sure the tools and products that he uses has gone up like everything else.
IMO this is no different then the lawn guy charging more because of the increase of gas prices. He can't control those prices but he still has to work. We pay the increased price and still tip the same as usual because he does a great job.

you serious, bro? Do you not think that inflation is real? Everything is getting more expensive, why wouldn't your haircut get more expensive as well?
ah, so you're retarded.

I was just telling my wife a few days ago how the guy who trims my beard is cheap, $12, so I'd always give him a $20. I went for a trim yesterday and he had a sign up that prices had increased, and a beard trim is now $20, so I still gave him a $20 since it was all I had. I guess I'll start bringing $25 with me when I go.
It's still cheaper than the previous place I went, they were charging me $28 and that was 3 years ago.

If you can't afford his services go somewhere else.

Taking inflation into account, my barber is charging less than they did 20 years ago.

I keep the tip well tucked around those scissors

My Barber use to charge $15, I gave her a $20 and told her to keep the change. Then she went to $18 and I gave her a $20 and told her to keep the change. Now she's at $20 and and I give $20 and she has no change to keep.

No way - just tip independent of cost increase.

The price went up $5. So if you cut an average of 15 people's hair per day for 250 working days out of the year you give yourself roughly a $15,000-19,000 raise for that year. Inflation is real but it doesn't call for that shite.
