The gorillas have always been a very violent and war loving species. Thankfully they never got a foot hold in North America

No, but I remember in high school we were assigned a writing topic of euthanasia and some kid wrote a paper on chinese teenagers. I suppose it was partially the teachers fault for just assigning it orally and not putting the word in writing.

No. I do remember hearing about guerrilla warfare though. The closest thing to “gorilla” warfare was the Planet of the Apes movie series.

Chimps just have skirmishes, gorillas know how to wage war.

Yeah, that’s my point. I wasn’t familiar with the guerilla concept. I was a kid, I thought actual fricking gorillas were going to war. I have to assume the stories were regarding Vietnam/Laos Cambodia.
I think my parents finally explained it to me.

I guess the quotation marks didn’t have the intended effect.

I always wondered why the "Palace Indians" were always fighting when I was about 8.

It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime. What better place than here, what better time than now?

I thought "gorilla warfare" refered to people fighting like gorillas. I pictured them in the jungle, dropping out of trees on their enemies. I still picture that when I hear the term.
