GNC/Vitamin World has to be a front for the cartel

I've never seen a single person in any of those stores yet they never shut down. No one would expect the cartel. Could also be a good place to sell drugs under the guise of protein stuff.

I was in there yesterday. You don't see many people in there because maybe 10% of the population is into health and fitness.

Or you can get the same products on Amazon 20-30% cheaper.

They closed 1,400 stores in '20.

I've always felt the same about automotive parts stores (like Auto Zone). I am not sure how they stay in business, especially with the overheard of running a brick and mortar. Not only that, but they seem to be on every corner. I would like to see what parts they sell the most. I mean do people really work on their own cars in 2023?

Last time I was in the Gonzales GNC, the guy working was sitting down and listening to Jim Rome.

Uh. Yeah. Every time I go in an auto parts store there are people in there

Whenever I go into one there's always several customers and I'm always in line behind someone that takes 20 minutes to check out when I'm just buying some oil.

If your diet is right you don't need to supplement.

They likely get at least half, I'm guessing a lot more, of their business from independent shops that they deliver to.
All the parts stores in town deliver. Auto Zone would be the last choice for a mechanic and even they have two Colorados for deliveries.

Batteries ,oil starters and alternators, brakes etc... made bank back in the day. Not sure ho they do it ow other than selling parts to repair shops.
fwiw..I had original shares that I got as manager of Store #8 that would be worth millions today if I had held on to them

ETA: AZO's (originally called AutoShack) original concept/success was because they were the first retail store that specialized in Auto parts instead of a parts store that also sold retail. The founder's dad owned Malone and Hyde a very successful grocery wholesaler.

I had a friend who was a manager at one for about a year and a half. This was years ago, but its not a place you go to and shop around in, most people know what they are going in for, they grab it, check out and leave.

With as much as they charge they only need to sell like 2 things a week to stay in business
