All the Rams fans must have been at the Colorado game

I question how many road NFL fans actually travel. I'd think the majority are just bandwagoners or transplants from the home city.

Seems to be the case with Rams/Niners/Cowboys fans I see at the Dome.

Similar to Red Sox/Yankees fans being noticeably present at Rays games just because they live in Florida.

The Rams and Chargers just don't have fans. Should have put the Raiders in LA, there would be some actual fans.

The NFL won't allow there not to be a team in LA, but LA has proven time and time again that they don't care about NFL football. They don't follow or support a local team for whatever reason. Not surprising at all to see that because it has been a pattern of behavior for decades.

The stadium isnt that far from LAX and its a relatively cheap nonstop southwest flight from most major cities

No surprise other fans packing the place

49ers have domestic fans all over the country, but especially out west. They are basically THE team from Nevada and throughout California and even into Wyoming and Montana and Idaho.

They're like the Cowboys of the west.

The Rams pre-dated the Dodgers and Lakers in L.A. They had celebs at their games. The Fearsome Foursome and Roman Gabriel appeared on TV shows, films, and commercials. They were typically top 5 or 10 in attendance from the 50s through the 70s. They cared.

However, the Rams moved to Anaheim, and then of course to St Louis, and the NFL grew into a behemoth without an L.A. team, so people found other teams to support. Why should anyone be surprised by a current lack of Rams and Chargers fans when the NFL neglected the market for a generation?

Legit curious, are the Raiders still that big in LA? I know when NWA was at their height of fame rocking Raiders gear it was big in LA, but that was 30 years ago

Steelers fans are at a lot of road games too. There were a ton of them in MN for a Thursday night game a few years ago.

Yes, it's still a very large fanbase and you'll see it when they play the Chargers later this year. It's just the organization has been so bad for so long that it's had an effect on the fanbase.

When the Rams played in the Coliseum in the 50s/60s, they would draw upwards of 100,000 fans. Same with USC.

You made a great point with your post but the best part of it is the phrase above. Emphasis on the past tense because they don’t care now.

When I lived in Green Bay the Steelers and Cowboys fans really showed up. Green Bay fans would usually pick a warm weather game and travel to games like Tampa and San Diego.
