I wouldn’t hate that hire tbh. Dude has taken Kentucky from absolute shite show to a respectable program. He doesn’t exactly have top notch talent everywhere either. May not be my favorite choice but he would do great things with some elite Louisiana talent.

Woodward asked Sexton about Stoops.
Big whoop.
I thought there was smoke to it too awhile back when I made a post about it saying I think Woodward will hire him.
It’s routine. Woodward is doing a deep search with a deep pool of candidates because there isn’t just one that everyone is unanimously wanting.
I learned a lot this past week and one coach was contacted last year by Woody about the LSU HC job opening up and has been waiting since.
ETA: there were threads saying that Woody asked Saban about who to hire
Lemme clear that up. Woody was digging around for more information about a candidate NOT currently at Alabama. At Alabama they record everything. If someone farts it gets written down and stored in a binder somewhere.

The usual suspects minus anyone that causes a ruckus.
All the talk about Woody being exclusively a big game Hunter exclusively is dumb. He’s gonna hire the best coach for LSU regardless of where he is now or his past experience. Some LSU alumni are gonna have to swallow their pride

I was surprised to hear the criticism on this. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that Woodward would reach out to a friend and the best coach in college football history to at least talk to him about this. Nor should it be criticized if he did. We should be happy Woodward has friends like that. Everybody hated Alleva.

There's no reason to trust TexAgs, and I don't believe there's an agreement with anybody at this point.
However, I think Stoops is a legitimate candidate for Woodward.

It was more asking for permission to see certain things.
Same thing coaches do in the off-season. Woodward’s passion and IQ is impressive.
