Why the frick does O need to be canned today?

I get we’re all rightfully pissed off at the results of last night but, does it really matter if it’s today? Woodward hates Orgeron. He was going to have him fired by the end of the season after the UCLA game.
The firing is going to happen. But there’s just no fix at the moment to prevent further losses on the field and in recruiting. This team sucks. Every coordinator and the majority of the on-field coaches suck.
Like do we think there’s anything stopping this team from going 0-5 in SEC play (with the possibility of a loss to ULM) if anyone else is the head coach? Ensminger is going to turn this ship around? Mickey Joseph is going to be the spokesperson to keep Jacoby Matthews from going to A&M?
Stop being whiny little bitches on the forum and just realize whether, or not, O is fired today, or in December, it’s happening. There’s no stopping a 5-7 season at this point no matter who the interim coach is. We’ll most likely lose a recruit or two as well.
I just don’t understand how dumb people can be. Like do y’all really think the hold up is because Scott Woodward is seriously thinking about keeping O next season? Face it. O is done. I hope he stays just so fans can boo the shite out of him next week against Florida

For the exact reason you wrote. He’s going to be fired eventually. By this I assume you mean the end of the season. If this is so, why wait? Other schools will be looking for candidates as well. Let’s get started.

They probably do though

The reason people want him fired is that The season is only halfway over and if some kind of change isn’t the team will go 4-8 or even 3-9.

I think you fire now to send a clearer message to recruits and players rather than dragging this thing out and having them all wonder if he will be there or not. You can’t sell O to recruits anymore. Need to sell a different vision and getting rid of him now starts that process.

What is the upside for NOT firing him with how it stands today?
What benefit does the program or players see from keeping him till the end of the season?
I can't find one. The Rubicon has been crossed and it is over. Pretending that it hasn't or isn't is not going to do anyone any favors.
Even if, and it's gone too far with the players for this to happen, but IF he were to turn it around the last 1.5 seasons won't be forgotten. The decline, so rapid, won't evaporate. Even with a miracle we would be saddled with the idea that the disaster just might happen again.
It's as if you set your neighbors house on fire. If you paid to rebuild it, you still committed arson. Rebuilding the house didn't wipe the slate clean.

And impending arse whoopings from UF, Arkie, Bama, Ole Miss will be tolerable knowing we're getting a new Coach for 2022

This team comes out flat and obviously does not want to play for O nor do they respect him.
At least they may play hard for an interim they respect. I’d rather lose going down swinging than they way we looked last night.

I won’t be going until there is a change. Doubt I’m alone. If you want fan support (and their dollars) you change now to show you are earnest in your desire to improve. Don’t change now and you are not earnest and thus don’t really want to improve. I went to Les miles games for 7-8 years of emotional agony, and I’m not doing that again.

I don’t blame fans for wanting to get rolling on the process and potentially make the season somewhat better.

It doesn’t have to be today, but the sooner the better. Do you want to see this shitshow continue to play out and do more damage?
There isn’t anything you said in that word soup that made any legitimate argument for keeping him other than you want to embarrass the university further by having the stadium all boo him and the team this coming Saturday. That’s a great reason.

You’re absolutely right
I’m okay with a Monday firing

Posted on 10/10/21 at 6:22 pm to OKtiger
Because you touch yourself. No one is reading all that.
Posted on 10/10/21 at 6:22 pm to OKtiger
Because you don’t want him hanging around, making a shite situation any shittier. Rip the band aid off and make the change.

This would be a decent post if it wasn't dripping with condescension.
