What’s your confidence level in Max Johnson? I like him, but I personally would have liked to see Myles slinging it around to all of this WR talent. Love his legs and his touch on passes, but what do you think of his overall accuracy? Can he complete 65% of passes? Just interested to hear some thoughts.

Good enough to win. That’s more than we’ve had pre-burrow.

About as much as I had in Joe Burrow before 2019–about a 7/10.

He still has a lot to prove. Can he put up great numbers against a D other than Ole Miss’s terrible D from last year. In fairness though, bigger question may be whether the offensive line gives him the time to show what he can do.

I’m more confident in Max the dude than Max the QB at this point relatively speaking.

But I think the dude buys the QB time to catch up

Sure he can be a 65 percent passer or better. In fact, if you go back and re-watch the Florida and Ole Miss games, if you pay attention, you will notice that a ton of passes were dropped in that game by LSU wide receivers.

As Terrace Marshall and Arik Gilbert had both opted out and because of that, LSU was rotating wide receivers that had mostly rode the bench up until that Florida game and they dropped an inordinate amount of passes in both those games.

Hell, even Kayshon Boutte dropped a few he should have caught. Nonetheless, he caught them when it mattered the most and his YAC was off the charts.

Nonetheless, had the majority of those dropped passes in those two games had been catches instead, Max Johnson would have easily completed 65 percent of his passes or higher.

I'm not anticipating a high drop rate of dropped passes in 2021 like there was last season because there was sufficient time to do the 10,000 catches routine.

I had zero confidence in Myles. If you’ve watched Myles in any game he’s played at LSU with your eye balls and not the box score, I don’t get how any sane individual would feel confident with him.

Max, I feel as confident as I did with junior year Burrow and Senior year Mettenberger… solid QB that can win games on his own when he’s hot or can manage a game when he’s not.

I certainly felt more confident with Myles. I dont know how you could come to the conclusion that myles was an issue.

He’ll be fine. Max came in and played in a very tough environment at the swamp and won, straight out of HS with hardly any practice reps with the first team. This was the first time in the offense, first time passing to these WR’s, first time for a lot of things. He won.

Now he’s got all this practice time and more confidence in himself and his teammates. He knows his teams strengths and weaknesses. He also is the studying type of QB where he’s not going to rely only on his god given talent but instead gain an edge by out smarting you and out working you studying film, which he knows how to do quite well. You better believe! 45-16 Tigers!

This is completely irrational and is just being said because LSU fans have convinced themselves Max is the GOAT. Max was a shoe throw and a few Kayshon 40 yard RAC plays away from being completely hated.

Ya, Max definitely won that game. He commanded the offense and drove down the field at the end of the game and scored unlike Brennan against Missouri.

After watching spring game, I think he's the man.
Doesn't take the biggest arm, accurate passes are hard to come by.
95% sure! Go Tigers!

I’m more worried about Deculus protecting his blindside than I am about Max
