He can't blast 50+ yarders consistently

NFL kickers can.

NFL is a completely different ball game. One of it not the best SEC kicker ever Carlson from Auburn started off really poorly and got cut. and then you cant forget about Roberto Aguayo one of the best college kickers ever who couldn't make it a whole season as a rookie.

You gotta remember only 32 kickers TOTAL.. no back ups. And you have to have ELITE leg strength to make it in the NFL. They want someone who can his a 57 yarder as time expires if need be

Not lot of turnover at the kicker position and you have to have elite leg strength to be able to consistently hit 50+ yarders. Yes he was money inside of 50 he didn’t have elite leg strength.

NFL is not in the business of employing kickers with limited range.

He's money inside of 50 but that's the top end of his max distance.

If you cant kickoff in NFL and be able to hit kicks in excess of 50 yards you dont have enough value.

Only 53 spots in the NFL, so they dont carry a place kicker, kickoff specialist and punter. Only 2, the kicker has to pull double duty...or in the off case a punter can kickoff too (nobody coming to mind off top of my head right now).

Never thought he would make it, just being honest, not enough leg strength. Great Tiger though

plus, kickers have extremely long careers. It's a really tough gig to get in to. Just wait though, a kicker will struggle early this year and a team will pick him up.

Doesn’t have a strong enough leg and can’t kickoff. NFL teams won’t waste a spot on a kicker that can only place kick

Also good kickers play for 15 years so there isn’t the same about of turnover as opposed to other position’s life span of 4-5 yrs.
