If you read the link above it says he hit from 63 and 60 in a competition and at a tryout.. I think it's kickoffs that are hurting him according to the article

I will bet you whatever you like that he is never on an active NFL roster.

Tracy might yet find his way on an NFL roster.

His best bet would be a team where the punter can kickoff too. I don't think any team will carry two kickers, but there are a handful of teams where the punters can do long kickoffs and even take a shot at a long field goal.

Its an age old battle in the NFL, kickers with great range and poor accuracy vs kickers who are accurate but lack range.

I think in recent years the ability to hit kicks up to 55 yds or so and to kick touchbacks has become sort of a Mendoza line in football.

Tracy probably wont see an NFL roster, but you will see a lot of kickers get cut this year who have big legs but cant hit shorter kicks under pressure. If I had a punter who could handle kickoff duties, I might look at a money kicker like Tracy.

Cole Tracy

I just love the memories from the total negaTiger meltdown when O brought him in. It was glorious to watch him dominate and shut up the haters.

Dan Bailey is a horrible example. He was one of the best kickers in NFL history with a long range but had issues with his groin and is about to be out of the league. Vikings just traded a 5th rounder for a kicker.
