What was this about? Did he feel bad because of the holding call and kept Malik from getting the TD or that it was his last TD.

His hold on the Nabers TD took away enough yardage from Nabers to prevent him from breaking Josh Reed’s career yardage record.
Nabers plans to play in the bowl to get it.

I was going to ask about that play. I was at the game and it didn't look like holding, but it was hard to tell.

It was definitely holding. To show you what an awesome receiver Nabers is he immediately noticed it in the middle of his run.

Did bowl games count for Reed? Nabors will get 37 games to break the record while Reed did it in 31.

He was blocking well the whole play and then right at the end the defender broke away from him and he grabbed him. Was definitely holding.

He saw the ref throw the flag and almost stopped running 10 yards short of the end zone.

I don't think the bowl games counted for Reed but Reed only played in two bowl games 01 Sugar and 00 Peach

It was definetely a bonehead play by him when you push a guy in the back thats a penalty every time he should know better

It wasn't bone-headed. He was blocking his arse off and got caught when the guy turned to run. As others pointed out, without that hold, the guy would have stopped Nabors, so it really only cost us about 10-15 yards.

Nabers blew by that man already by the time the 'hold' happened.

So why do bowl games count for Nabers but not Reed? If they started allowing them to count, why not restate the record after adding bowl games to Reed’s stats?
