Lots of tickets available - east upper needs to be reimagined

Too high, too hot

In this era of college football, the upper decks are a waste. Stadiums need better seating, not more seating.

I can't imagine sitting in the sun up there
that wasn't thought out very well
I've sat in the the south upper deck and it was fine and on the side without the sun and no issues
I've said it numerous times, the solution for the upper decks is to reduce seating capacity and make it more family friendly - cheaper tickets and concessions in the upper decks with more room for fans to spread out
you don't need 100,000 in a stadium anymore

The athletic directors of the last 20+ years never put any imagination nor thought into the future of any athletics facility. Tiger Stadium is Frankenstein of mixed/matched pieces and dead space throughout the property.

Yea it should be more about the fan experience rather than the amount of buts in the seats. I go to maybe one game a year if I can get free tickets. I live an hour and a half away and would just rather watch the game with my dad on the big screen on the porch as we cook.

My couch... best seat in CFB. Beer is about $1.20 each and plate of wings is just over $7.

As someone who sat in the east upper for years, I can confirm. There were days where we could actually hear the sun.

Never thought I would agree with you but I do. The older you get the more attractive just chilling out watching it gets. Don't get me wrong going to the Bama game is still a great event and even Florida but there's too much bs to endure for lesser games especially rent-a-wins.

I'll be honest, anything more than half way up the upper deck, idk why anyone would want to watch a game there.
Especially with how good TV's and broadcasts are these days.
Outside of 1-2 games a year where the atmosphere is next level, its not worth it.

Yeah I agree. But I’m still goin to at least one SEC game to feel the energy

I had tickets in the west upper chairbacks for years. Those seats were fine and had a great view of the field. If you really want to watch plays develop there weren't many better seats. But I would never consider buying east upper tickets for any price. even sitting in the suites on that side sucks.
Only way to make those seats worth sitting in would be some sort of roof, but that's not happening.

I think they've now scrapped the idea but Bama had renovation plans to scrap a chunk of their 10 or so year old bleacher filled endzone upper-deck for a social space
At least someone at LSU had the vision to not slap a giant concrete bleacher slab on top of the south expansion. Aggie did it and you never see that area close to full.

a lot of broke, spoiled, pussies in this thread. i could have sworn the consensus on this board was that the younger fans have lost the passion that gave TS its magic. sounds like it’s the dinosaurs who have lost their edge. glad yall are at home instead of sitting quiet in the stadium though

For a 6PM kickoff though?

I wish I lived closer to Baton Rouge. I’m 6.5 hours away and would gladly sit in the sun all day if it meant I got to watch my tigers play in Death Valley

I am imagining a roof and inclosed in glass with a bar and private bathrooms. Like at a dog track.

And too expensive. Bottom line it’s all about the money and seats. As long as fans buy and occupy these worthless seats it will continue. Many are empty but paid for so they don’t care.

reality is they didn’t build the right way. Suites and club should be at the top of the stadium, not the middle. Upper deck seats are too high up with the design of TS

We are about 5 hours away. Got tickets in section 643. Being life long Tiger fans we have to experience an SEC game in Tiger stadium.
