LSU fans think JD can improve, and that Nuss cant improve.

It's amazing to me.
Every time JD reminds me he cant pass, I immediately see people saying "Trust me bro, any day now he's going to be Joe Burrow"
Every time I mention Nuss, I am corrected and told he will always be the guy he was in the Southern game and will /never/ change.
It's so annoying man. Nuss is apparently frozen in time and all he will ever be is a guy who throws interceptions, even though he went on to light up Georgia and dominate Purdue.

Prepare to be frustrated all year long. Set your expectations low for Nuss getting on the field that way if he does it will be a pleasant surprise.

At least Kelly and LSU's ESG scores will improve with sticking with JD.
Man you guys have absolutely no idea what ESG is.
LSU isnt taking loans from Blackrock and even if they wanted to they could just purchase carbon credits to artificially raise their ESG score.

I never understand this, because Nuss has improved from the first time he threw the ball at LSU. Everytime I see him in a game he gets better. Are you going to take some lumps with him because he will throw it when JD will not, sure, but I prefer the potential of Nuss than JD.

Well that is just a bit silly, but JD can improve, he just has not. Stats look good after the game, equal to the FS qb, but the offense cannot exploit WR talent. When JD could not figure out he needed to throw a fade to Nabers at the end of of the half instead of some bullet pass, I have seen enough of JD.

Fans (fanatics) are often irrational, but must the coaching staff be so as well?

JD5 can't throw?
The man literally threw for more yards than the opposing QB. Had our OC called a better game in short yardage, LSU wins going away.

Jayden has a ceiling as a passer. He is not the same type of player as Nuss or Burrow. Daniels has a specific skill set and for some reason our OC decided to take away that skill set and attempt to make him a pocket passer. Which is not fitting to him. Also the play calls outside of 2 or 3 plays were not very creative and leave a lot to be desired.
However, despite all that Daniels was not the reason we lost the game. Putting in Nuss would not have won us the game. Daniles definitely missed a few reads but Denbrock's scheme and gameplan was terrible. Not to mention defensively we looked awful at the linebacker and Corner position. Moving Perkins to inside linebacker as of right now looks like a mistake, he was lost all night. So again playing Nuss would not have won us the game. Jayden is the starter and everyone should be more concerned with the play calls and scheme then who is under center.

I certainly don't feel that way. I just think that the FSU game had way more warts in other places than the QB spot. You wanna win that game?
Don't allow them to throw for 360 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Don't allow them to average 7.5 YPP and almost 500 total yards.
Don't allow them to go 9/14 on 3rd down while you go 3/10.
Don't allow them to go 4/4 in the redzone while you only scored on 3/5 attempts, once from the 2 yard line.
Don't drop multiple first down completions, 2 of which had chances to score if you catch them.
Don't go 0/3 on 4th down while they convert their only 4th down attempt.
Don't allow them to score on the last two possessions of the 1st half and every single possession in the 2nd half.
In summary, was Jayden perfect? No. Was the QB play good enough to win you the game? In my opinion, yes it was. You can't not get a stop for over a half of football defensively and expect to win many games.

Nuss and the receivers are gonna have some growing pains, it comes with the territory, but he can’t get there without being given an opportunity. Just give him half the opportunity already given to Daniels

You have never seen anyone say that.
If so, they were probably high on bath salts.

JD isn’t a great QB and Nuss isn’t some “savior QB” who “just needs his shot”. If he was that much better than JD, he’d be on the field.
Bottom line, we don’t have an “elite” QB on the roster and the rest of the offense doesn’t do either of them any favors. We are just not that good as a team. It’s far more than any one position. This “JD vs Nuss” argument is entirely irrelevant. Neither one are good enough to elevate THIS team beyond 8 or 9 wins tops.

Ya, Im totally confused.

I hope the coaching staff recruits in the portal a great QB for next year. The other colleges are doing it. Nuss may not be enough, we need competition at QB each year.

The receivers want a guy that’s going to throw the ball to them, so they can make plays.
JD is not that guy and never will be. The past don’t lie

Lol at the gaslighting in this thread.
Forums have a search function. You can easily look up what you guys were saying about Daniels 3 days ago before you started saying nobody expected him to be elite this year.

Jayden himself literally admitted that he made the wrong read on one play and should’ve thrown the ball to give someone a chance on the other. He also missed a fade route with the DB having no clue a pass was coming. He missed Nabers multiple times in 1v1 coverage being scared to throw downfield.
Daniels’ flaws negate his ability. You are getting a high floor low ceiling guy who can just get you through games. Same as last year, this team needs a qb that can make it go.

Nuss or Burrow

Dude I was not comparing Nuss and Burrow. Burrow was used because of the comment in the OP. I literally was talking about Jayden's skill set not talent level. Jayden is a different style QB than what Burrow or Nuss are. That is not me comparing Nuss to Burrow. SMH

honestly Nuss showed more improvement between Southern and Purdue than Daniels has shown in 5 years.
I was really hoping he’d take the next step but he just hasn’t
