Worse loss? Clemson or LSU?

Both teams highly ranked. Both disappointing losses, no doubt. IMHO Clemson’s loss to an unranked conference opponent is crushing, whereas we can still play for our conference championship goal and have an outside shot for the playoffs if we grow from our loss. FSU is a damn good team with playmakers on both sides of the ball and we were two touchdowns better than them in the first half. We melted down in the second half and they exposed us badly. Hopefully our players step up and our coaches figure out how to get these guys to play together.

Clemson with ease. Florida state is a good team and will be at the top when the year ends.

Duke has a football team? I didn’t know that? Obviously they can’t and don’t recruit anybody. So these must be bored walk on students that play on the team, right?

Yeah games against good teams can get out of hand when momentum flips, which is what happened in the LSU-FSU game
Losing to a bad-mediocre team is always worse

So did LSU.

For half a game
LSU looked the part for 2 quarters at least.
The national pundits have admitted LSU let the wheels fall off in the 2nd half but looked like a good squad to start the game

Clemson and it’s not even close

Clemson isn’t in a rebuild, an established powerhouse getting smacked around by Duke is much worse than our loss…and yes our loss was embarrassing

Personally, I don't give a rat's arse about Clemson and I don't understand why any LSU fan should.

Momentum flipped! Exactly. That's why you put Nuss in to see if that works. Anything that might make the Tigers play harder than wet noodles. The lack of intensity is what embarrassed me.

Us.
Because it is us. I could care less about Clemson while our squad just got boatraced by someone else.

The answer is Clemson but does this really deserve a question?
Telling us you don’t understand sports without telling us you don’t understand sports…

Clemson.
FSU has a legit chance at finishing 12-0

Thank goodness for Duke! LSU gets some of the focus off of its back.

And maybe this is what’s bothering me so much about this whole situation. Last year we started the game slow but kept it within reach on several games, went into halftime made the adjustments came out and kicked arse the 2nd half. This time we actually go into the half with the lead and come out playing like it’s the first snap of football any of the players have ever played… I just can’t fathom how we looked so lost the 2nd half

Of note: "Mike Elko was named Duke University's 22nd head football coach on December 10, 2021, and in his first season led the Blue Devils to nine regular season victories to garner ACC Coach of the Year honors."

Clemson and it isn't close. We lost to a top-10 team. Florida State will be the best/most complete team we play all season (yes, that includes Alabama).
Clemson has 56 four and five-star recruits on their roster. Duke as 2.
LSU owned the first half of the game against Florida State and we may be talking about a different outcome if we capitalize on all the opportunities we had in the first quarter. Clemson almost never had a grip or control of that football game against a FAR superior opponent.
