So LSU sacrificed Will Wade, and still being targeted by NCAA

For an unprecedented punishment in the new NIL era. NCAA is just making up shite as they go along. This is what happens when you make a deal with the devil.

This narrative has always been laughable, but the dopes choose to believe it. “ I’ll fire my basketball coach if you leave me alone about football” is akin to, “ Sure Mr. criminal, go ahead and tell us about the murder and we will take it easy on you”. Dumb.

Woodward was trying to help his BFF (Emmert) save face by offering up Wade and promoting the illusion that the NCAA was "cleaning up this recruiting cesspool" under Emmert's watch.
That makes the most sense. We'd have been better off if those 2 weren't friends/in laws. The whole time, I thought that relationship was the ace up Scott's sleeve to just give Wade a slap on the wrist.

Smith needs to sue the NCAA. People forget that the whole reason NIL exists is not because the NCAA woke up one day and was suddenly cool with losing their free labor pool. NIL exists because the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in NCAA vs Alston that the NCAA's rules prior to 2021 violated federal law.
That means those rules should be unenforceable now, since the Sherman Antitrust Act was passed in 1890. It is time to either leave the NCAA or better yet, bury them in legal fees.
