Someone that will get in the player’s face and make them understand what is expected of them. Enough of this is ok shite. Play ball or get the frick out of the dugout.

I would have went with Wally. He was a great leader for that team.

If I picked a player from the past, I pick Walker who never failed especially in the clutch. He was the mailman.

Blair ate the team’s arse out in the dugout during the World Series and they never looked back. I know. I was there and saw it first hand. Wally was great and clutch, but not vocal. This team needs to be butch slapped to wake em up.

And baseball isn’t really a sport where getting yelled at makes you play better. Can you hit the ball or not?

Team is full of divas that just think if it shows up it’s gonna win.

Todd Walker was MOP and the most clutch hitter I’ve ever seen in an LSU uniform when it was on the line. Morris May have the greatest hit, but Walker never failed to deliver with the game on the line.

This team has a GREAT LEADER IN Skenes. Not a better one and trust me, he is intense.

This team needs CLUTCH HITTERS.

Barbier was SWOLE. You know it an I know it that those guys were heavy users.

The issue is lsu’s two biggest clutch hitters this season have either been hurt or in a slump

Thompson and Dugas

Dugas pre injury was and has been clutch throughout his career, it really cannot be argued
He has more clutch moments than barbier did

Go look up Dylan Crews stats in the Oregon Regional, Tennessee Super Regional, and USM Regional.

I’m not knocking Todd Walker at all. But for you to say Todd Walker never failed is just not accurate. By your measure Todd would have won a national title every season at lsu. In fact, Todd Walker struggled in the 1993 CWS until the elimination semifinal against Long Beach State. Now he went off in that game and the CWS final. But he didn’t hit great for the first 3 lsu games that trip.

This team reflects its head coach.

Laid back, no rah rah, deer in the head lights when it's a close game.

LSU has less losses than all but 1 of our national championship teams. Y’all have poor memories of the past.

Did the stupid mullets, stashes, and gold chains not give it away earlier?

Maybe so, but teams have learned to pitch inside and on his back foot or let him walk. Respect for his bat. HE has to take that and know it and stop pressing like he did during that stretch where his numbers plummeted.
The truth is, like it or not, his legacy starts NOW. Bregman is judged that way for his time here. Delivering NOW or he will be an all time great but not in Walker’s class.
