Was 6:30, then 3:00. Just heard on radio that it’s 2:30. Can anyone confirm?

I think the key is the end of the game as it will get into the lower 40s. But what’s the point of moving it up, is it really that much worse to play in 5 to 10 degree colder weather?

NWS is currently predicting
47 with wind chill of 42 at 3 PM (when game is starting)
46 with wind chill of 40 at 6 PM (~when game is ending and just before it would have started)
42 with wind chill of 34 at 9 PM (~when game would have ended)
4 or 5 degrees is not really much, but decision has been made

If you've ever been to the box, you know it doesnt really matter what that says. It would have been cold as absolute frick tonight.

Maybe Jay is learning from past LSU experiences. I haven't been to the Box in a while, but from the game threads, Opening Day always seems to be extra cold.

Some of you may remember or may have even been in attendance, but the season has started as early as February 7th in 2003.
Of course, it can be 40 or 75 on February 7th in any given year.
ETA - The 1965 season started on March 20th. That's the oldest year listed on lsusports.net. The first year that started in February was 1975.
