What does PFF know about Boutte that we don't?

Pro Football Focus does not even list him within their Draft Simulator.
For a group that is as detailed oriented as PFF, that is an interesting omission.

His speed and ability to separate from defenders was definitely not the same as it was during his sophomore season. Maybe his injury had something to do with that. His pouting and dgaf attitude during parts of the year probably aren’t helping either.

When I saw this, I assumed the ranking was compiled prior to Boutte announcing he would NOT return to LSU and would pursue the draft. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me.
However, I do not think he will be drafted before third round.

I think the combine will be extra important for him. If he shows burst and smooth route running I think teams will feel like he was still healing from his injury last season. If he disappoints then they may feel like he’ll never be the same guy he was.

PFF also has Sedrick Van Pran as draftable, even though he's staying at Georgia. They need to do some updating.

I have my opinion on why he’s not on there, but there’s no need to trash the young man.
I hope he gets drafted and makes money and has a successful career. Glad he chose LSU for 3 years, even if it’s not how we wanted all of his time here to go.

That used to be the case, but NIL now makes these kids professional athletes. I think most criticism is in play.

Maybe to take him up a round or two, but I would be shocked if any team takes him in the first 2 rounds. He seems to have some red flags.
