You can acknowledge that Jayden straight up won us a lot of games we wouldn’t otherwise have won this year, while simultaneously understanding there is a certain ceiling to our offense with him at helm - which there is nothing wrong with by the way, it’s just us what it is. At least now we know what we get with him.

Deep passing and explosive plays will be at a minimum with him starting, but his legs can also excuse any bad OL play and really have fits for certain teams like Bama and Ole Miss.

With Nuss / Howard in, you arguably will have a more complete offense and stand a better chance at being able to win in shootouts. It opens up a whole new world that you don’t have with Daniels. It really doesn’t have to be so contentious.

It’s not contentious for most people. It’s the retards on the fringe.

Top 11 in 3rd down conversions coming into UGA.

You probably don’t get that with anyone but Daniels.

You people act like players can't develop their flaws. Even if he's never great at improving those flaws he can still be better than what he was this year.

He was a semifinalist for best QB in the country. You don't get to be on that award unless you're a good player.

What the actual EFF? Did he not set a record for sacks this year? Tell us again how his legs excused any bad OL play?

There’s no room for sensibility on this topic.

Not if we don’t improve our running game. On O job 1 after finding our QB should be improving the running game.

JD is our number one rusher for a reason. We don’t have a top TB to carry the load. We have a crew of back up types. To have balance you have to run the ball too.

At this stage, we don't have a dominant run-blocking interior line. That creates it's own limit on the ceiling of the offense. It's not like Nussmeier was clearly the better option.

I think the O-line will continue to improve, so the need for the QB to be the focus of the running attack will be lessened.

JD was the MVP of the team this year. Whether that’s enough to keep the job moving forward is yet to be seen

Thank you for a reasonable view point. I absolutely believe Daniels gave us the best chance THIS year to win the most games. I want a true open competition in the spring and may the best QB win

You perfectly summed this up. Saying other guys have a higher ceiling isn’t a knock on JD. Daniels was a lot better than I thought he would be this year and without him we don’t beat Alabama. Well said sir.

That's kinda surprising if that's where his stock is, imo. Might be a weaker class. Not saying he doesn't have that capability.

I just find it funny this board wants him to leave so badly yet he's up for awards and also has a high grade in draft. For someone who's a RB according to this board that sure is amazing. Not to mention Nuss you haven't seen enough to know where his flaws might be outside he obviously makes bad decisions with the ball.

For those who say JD "is who he is" also is ignorant because he's already shown capability he can be all-world. He just needs consistency. You also have your own example just a few years ago at how fast a QB can develop. It took Burrow 5 years to get where he ended up being after having about a 90% mediocre junior campaign. Players are not static. They do not stand in mud when it comes to player development.

BK knows more than this board. Nuss didn't start for a reason. This board is beyond retarded.

Without his legs he could not be a starting QB. That is the only bad thing. If a team contains him an pressured him you are going to lose every one of those games. If you play man D and turn your backs he will eat you alive with his legs. He will not throw the ball deep on one on one matchups out of fear of making a mistake. Has no awareness of when teams are blitzing him and what to do with it when they do. Because of his legs he is solid an will win you games. But with the athletes LSU recruits you are better off with a QB who can have awareness in the pocket an feed the ball to the playmakers in the long run

It is sensible if Daniels is no longer the starter.

Every guy has their pros and cons. It’s pretty obvious the staff took the lesser of the evils with Jayden. But that’s not to say that these guys stay the same.

My issue is whichever side you land on, for the vast majority of the posters on this site, they discredit the opposing QB to build up the guy they like. It doesn’t need to be that way.
